My car just hit 90k and I feel like it's in the zone. Like it just got broken in. I work at a dealership, so I get to drive new cars around and my car drives as nice. Actually better since I'm on the H&R and bilstein combo suspension. I may be holding on to this car longer than I thought. anyone feel this way too?

I'm at 112,000, and I still love my car. I do need to repair one of my upper control arms, and need new tires. Other than that, its still a sweet ride!

I feel like my car drives like shit now. Besides several creaks in the cabin, relatively slow performace (possibly due to MAF) and some other aesthetic messups I caused, I like it and feel like we might have a long history.

Most recent pic just for the heck of it:

Once those things are fixed and you do wheels, it'll be like a new car again!

alan,
nice photo!

I need to clean my interior, since cleaning my exterior is pointless this time of year...

If it makes you feel any better about it, that's a great pic!!!

Mine's at 104K, and loving every time I drive it, even with the broken headlight washers...

About to hit 90k, and it's a POS.

I guess once I get the brakes, clutch, speakers, interior creaks, ABS module, exterior paint scratches, broken headlight washers, broken foglight, seat material, shifter plate, control arms, tie rod ends, alignment, and other various things done, it should be decent.

I think it may be due to the fact that the previous owner didn't care for it very well that I have so many damn problems.

Sorry about your luck. But most of that is normal maintance.

I'm over 100k miles, and it's still the best car I have ever owned. My car is now over 7 years old, and people still think it's new when they get in it.

Very true. For the most part, I think you get out of a car, what you put into it.

Lucky for me, the previous owner treated it like shit.

I dunno if I can say that I feel the same as Jones. My car has over 99k on it now and there's a laundry list of things I need to fix this spring. Many of them are maintenance type items but, I hope the car feels a little better after they're done. My biggest problem right now is that 3 of my swing wheels are slightly out of round. I hate buying used wheels because it's so hard to get used wheels that are in good shape. I'm kind of looking for a set of used 16" swings.[;)]

As for my engine, it runs like a top. Honestly, I have to say that this 1.8T is the most stable and solid turbo motor I've ever owned. None of my DSM cars were this reliable.

i love the way my car rides.
i was thinking on getting an EVO MR for my next car but then my love for audis got me thinking into getting a 2002 S4. i just cant get enough of the b5 look. (tho the b6 V8 S4 is nice too lol)

15's?!?! YES!!![:D]

j/k.....[race]

Honestly, I like the way the 16" swings look on my car. I'd have a hard time living with those 15 inchers. I now understand why you bought AVUS wheels.[;)] [up]

Yup, these things are SOLID. The roads around here suck balls, and these things can take a major beating. If I ever bought 18s, they'd be wrecked before I got to the end of the street.

However, I do evny the guys with the beauty wheels on AZ.
