The topic has been covered a bunch and I have already experienced every problem I thought a bad clutch switch had to offer, but I may be wrong. A while back my clutch switch and cruise control module was replaced because they were not working. Today for some odd reason I just started the car without pushing the clutch in at all and it still started. My cruise control still works so I dont think I got a bad clutch switch. Im warrantied until the end of august so I am just trying to get as many problems solved as possible. Any ideas on what could cause this?

wow and i thought i was the only one that had this problem lol.
same issues my cruise stalk stopped working and the clutch switch was somehow bypassed.
i got the cruise stalk fixed at the dealer and they said it was tricky and couldnt figure it out for a while, then they asked if i ever notcied that i didnt have to push in the clutch to start i said no cuz i never thought to do that.
As someone had said to me u shouldnt worry about the clutch switch cuz other members said they have gotten stranded when the clutch switch went bad and they were unable to start it, now u will never get stranded for something so little, the dealer put in a new switch and the problem still was occuring and i just said forget it, now i am thinking about electric start for the winter

Have you scanned your car for error codes? When my clutch position sensor failed it left an error code. Maybe whatever is going on here has been nice enough to leave a clue.

I haven't scanned for codes yet, it hasn't thrown a CEL or anything like that. I just got the car within the last month and I have no computer other than my macbook here at school. Two more weeks and I will be home for summer and I can scan all I want then.
As for the switch goes, I just want to get it fixed in case its linked to any other problems that I don't know about yet. The unfortunate thing about the Audi store up here at school is it seems like no matter what they have to order the part, so not only does my car have to go in to get it looked at, but then has to go back a week later to get installed. Frustrating over something dumb, but whatever I guess.
I will keep the neutral switch in mind, and let the dealership know tomorrow. Thanks guys, I feel like I have been paranoid over dumb things in this car but each one has seemed to actually be a known problem
