What UP Everyone!!!

I just want to share a little project that i have done over the weekend.
Friday I got my new toy Kenwood DNX 9140, really nice radio with Garmin GPS and other goodies if anyone is interested look up and get it.. you going to love it.
I also got a Custom Box from Los Labs. I will show you the pics but this is a website where you could order one or call them. I have worked with Chris and Carlos from the shop and these guys know what they are talking about and what they are doing.. The box that i got was Great.. the JL10w7 Sounds Really Nice.. Better than my Kickers L7 12"!!!!

I needed the room in my trunk because Wife is expecting a Little Babe Girl so I need the room in the trunk they Los Labs Have helped me out with it Thanks Guys!!!

Box Link.

So let me Show you what I have done.. First few pics are not that great didn't see until i took them that my cam settings were off! So sorry for the first few pics.

This where i ran my power Cable, I have bought the kit from Kicker. The cables are very nice. Great product, easy to bend if you need to.
Here is a pic where i pushed the 4Gauge Amp wire.

If you take of your cabin filter, and take out all the plastic crap that is in the way, you could push the wire though there.. I didn't take the picture of it, But you need to take out your glove box to fish the wire!!!!

I have Replaced my door speakers with Polk Audio 6105 6/ 1/2". The speakers came with Tweeters and a Crossover and also a Spacer which you will need if you plan on changing the speakers in the doors.
Sorry no pic of that....

Door panel being off.
I have not bought ENFIG Radio kit.. they wanted way to much money for it. Everything from the radio was run though RCA's So I made my own Connection If anyone needs help whit that I could tell you what you need to do..
I think the worst part of this whole install was to find the Speaker Wires and how they are color Coded. That took the longest but once I found all the wires and where they are going, After there the install of the door speakers began.
To bad i didn't take a pic of that sorry guys.
I know this pic is bad but this is when I started to do a Radio Install.
I got my Dash Kit from Sam From A & G Toys. He is located in IL, On 73rd 75th and Harlm Ave You cant miss it if you drive that way.
He does Awesome job with Cars Sounds, Video Audio, Rims, Alarms and other goodies for cars. The only reason why I didn't give my car to him for the install is because I wanted to do it my SELF!.

Radio Install:

After Radio was installed. It was time to install 4ch Earthquake amp. I found a nice spot to Mount the amp.. Right next the amp where the Stock OLD amp was. I have mounted Distribution Blox for the amps.

After Getting the amp installed and testing making sure everything is working. I started on a Install of a Box.

http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/ab355/mario1983/JL%20audio%20System%20System/IMG_4082.jpg
Since the JL is so big of a sub even for 10" I had to do some support to hold the box in place.

http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/ab355/mario1983/JL%20audio%20System%20System/IMG_4084.jpg

I drilled in the box so i could screw in to the metal bar.

http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/ab355/mario1983/JL%20audio%20System%20System/IMG_4088.jpg

I have put a padding in to the box.

And now is time for sub install. Los Labs Thank you for this Custom Made Box, Sam Thanks for the tips and Radio Trim.

This is What is being pushed by JL Audio
Kicker 1200.1 Since the amp could do 1ohm Stable ( I had it for my L7 Kickers that i have sold) Now I’m getting about 650-800RMs do to sub being only a 3ohm Sub.

nice install

Los Labs will only be able to sell on here if they become an Audizine advertiser, which means they have to talk to Anthony. Also, it's not that easy to become an AZ advertiser.

I bet that if they do get to be an advertiser, and the price is right, that they will sell a lot of those boxes though. I wonder if they would make an Avant specific version though, since I would want my sub to be hidden behind the door that is on that cubby. Just looked on their website and $100 does not seem bad at all, still would want it to be flush with the side of the car in mine so that I could either create a grille or use the existing door.

OP the install looks great!

Thank you it took me about 25-30 HOURS over the weekend. NAIKU call them they are great and friendly people. tell them what you want and what kind of sub you gonna run. The reason why mine sticks out is because i needed a bigger box for the JL SUB.
The Sub is very big that i got and this JL hits as hard as 2 of my previus Kicker L7's that i had.. Its clean. The Box is great !!!! Talk to them and maybe they will include free shipping tell them that Mario with B7 box send you there :)

Have to agree on thinking about doing this install. Love JL subs as well. How much did you spend on your sub? 400-500 range I'm assuming.

I might email or call them to get a price, I know I only need my box to be 0.5cf sealed, and the one on their site is 1cf.

I know it's not the biggest deal of them all but I just don't agree with the fact that the box is a stealth box made custom for our cars but has a different color carpet than our OEM liner. I am a huge fan of YOUR setup because you literally answered all my questions. I wanted that same exact sub but had doubts on the box fitment. I will def follow this thread for when I install it but that contrast in the trunk is just murder on my eyes. Awesome choice in products! Let me know if that sub is too much for the car, ie trunk rattle or any kind of ricer negatives IF any at all. I am a bass whore so I'm trying to fit the best in that space. Thanks

Why does it bother you??? I have my house keys and little led flash light on it.. I need the keys to get in to the house. So no I wont do that :)
I had VW Golf with the same key. I had my keys on it as well and i didn't have a problem with anything so i dont know what is your problem.

BTW this post was not about the keys. it was about a Audio Install. Thanks

I know the carpet is not the same color as the trunk. The shop could paint the box to whatever color you want but as you know thats more $$$ to it. Or tell them on what you want and they will do it for you. You could always paint the box your self.
I know the box sticks out a little bit but its mde for that JL sub. If you go with this JL sub and the box, I dont think you will need any more bass. This is my First JL sub that i have ever used and its just unreal of how much bass and clean bass puts out. I dont hear any trunk rattle at all. Just nice clean bass. One thing I have to do is take out my stock sub b/c when i have the seats up, the bass stays in the trunk! So that will be my next project of taken the sub out.. Over all it was a long ass weekend but worth it... Take your time and do it right the first time :)

Thank You and I hope yours will turn out good as well :)

great install. going to look into getting that sub box. looks good.

Make sure to tell them what kind of sub you want, or what kind of sub you going with, So they could build the box to the sub spec's.

Like I said before Los Labs are great.....
