Hi, not sure if this is the right place to ask but i'll give it a shot

I'm looking to make a couple of changes like using the key fob to open the windows and disable the seat belt chime.

i know this (http://www.ross-tech.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=VCHUC&Category_Code=VAGCOM) should work but it is way too expensive to justify buying it.

this (http://www.obdtool.com/default1.asp) one is priced a lot better, but i'm not sure it will work. the site says that it might not work with "some 2005+ "B7" A4s"

Does anyone know if the second option would work for my 07 A4, and if not what other solutions are there?

Definitely look at the thread Vizi posted...the one you referenced is also referenced in that thread, and I'm pretty positive it won't work.

cabbe arrived today and finally that damn ding is gone :) .

Couple questions

seatbelt

my original number was 0023261 just like in the pics
changed it to 0023259 and the seatbelt was disabled

farther down it explains the codes and what they do
going by that, the code to disable the chime should be 0023201

does anyone know the difference between 0023201 and 0023259?
they both seem to disable the seatbelt chime, but i'm sure one of them also changes something else

windows and locks

once again my number matched the one in the picture for the convenience module

My original was 11820, changing it to 11896 made the windows open and close using the key fob as well as single click unlock
in the appendix it says to add 64 for the window feature and subtract 4 if you want single click unlocks to the original code

11820 + 60 = 11880

whats the difference between 11896 and 11880?
