Hello Ladies and Gents,

I have finally got my Custom made headlights, I have an Audi A4 B7 3.0 TDI in black and wanted to get headlights similar to the B8 but then
thought hmmm the angel eyes headlights look quite nice aswell for the B7 but was told it would look like an audi trying to be a BMW. I coudnt
decide which one to go for but after thinking about it for a while i thought why not have both. The audi a4 B8 DRL strip with a BMW CCFL Halo ring on each side
above the DRL. It would be something totally different and unique. I finally recieved my headlights today after requesting them a month ago. I have
taken some photos of them attached below. I am getting these lights fitted tomorrow so will have lots more pics with them turned on during the day and night with 6000k Xenon [:D]

http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/7185/sam0074.jpg (http://img153.imageshack.us/i/sam0074.jpg/)

As stated i will be getting these headlights installed tomorow and will be updating with many more pictures, Please leave comments as to what you guys think. When fully fitted and the sidelights switched on the DRL strip and the Halo CCFL Ring will turn on thus looking like an eye. [:D]

First of all apologies, I know i said i would get them installed on saturday and upload pics but the install took longer then i thought and then i had to go straight to work and then again work on sunday. I managed to take a few pics at the garage with my camera. I have not been able to take a night shot appart from one shot taken on my phone after work and as you can see its pretty much pitch black lol. I will if requested take some pics during dusk and night if people intrested.

The install took longer as they had to remove the front bumper and then put the lights in and then rewire the CCFL halo to work along with the sidelight button.

Anyway my thought are it looks AWESOME during the dusk/night. a real head turner. During the day the Halo and DRL can be seen but not as good if its quite sunny. I personally like the look, it looks very aggressive and goes nicely with the car.

What do you folks think?

i need to see them on the car. I always liked the single halo with the ring around the projector shroud.. and it doesnt seem like these projectors really have that. I'm just worried it might appear too small, but im anxious to see. Post pics!

ive seen headlights like these on many cars, and imo it just dosent look right. The way the b7 headlight is shaped just dosent fit the led strip well. The angel eyes on the other hand looks great, i dont care if ppl say its copying a bmw becasue bmw's usually have 2. b7's just look more agressive with halo's its a very clean look. The led strip on the other hand just looks sloppy on b7's.

I love those lights from Dayline, but it's just led strip does not line up with the hood.

Can't wait to see these either. And I'm with Adub-Drew, some people say it's a BMW thing, but I think it looks really sharp when done correctly.

Agreed with the halo, Audi looks better with the halos.

But the led strip from the new style does not line up.

is that the turn signal on the inside towards the headlight? because that cant be safe. Also where is the is the highbeam? Or, is this one of those "bixenon" headlights? Other than that they look great!

I am so close to buying those exact headlights, but I need more photos to really make me feel confident in getting them.

I would like to know how you find the change from low beam to hi beam and how that is done in the single projector.

How you find the brightness of the LED strip during the day,

Is there a way to hook the LED strip up to accesories on rather than having to always turn out parker light switch on,

just means we cant leave our head lights on auto now if we want the Led on during the day ?

How did you find fitting them , removing bumper etc.

What is the spread like on the projector with HID on it, even nice and bright ?

some photos would be great

Something just doesn't look right about them. The Led's end prematurely it seems to end just short of where it's supposed to. The lines don't match the A4 at all. But to each there own I guess.

did you have DTRL before these head lights ?

What is the spread like on the projector with HID on it, even nice and bright ?

What was the globe fitment like ? was it a simple plug in and clamp down, or did it have a different style

The shroud looks cheap and small..finish looks decent.

Issue is, that the B8 head lights are a bit outwards......the B7 is more towards the center of the headlight housing...hence...the curve that you get for the B7 is shorter. Only way would be to move the projectors outwards, but that does not align well with the rest of the car.

Most of us want the B8 only cuz of the LEDs......

Yep. The last thing any B7 owner wants to hear is that we are trying to imitate (copy) the new B8..

Its just something about them, they just don't flow well with the car IMO. I like the LED's though, but the halos and the projectors look out of proportion to the rest of the car. IDK what matters most is if you like them.

royal_b7a4
12-17-2010, 01:48 PM
Yea exactly and I'm pretty sure your high beams
Dont work anymore you have to cut and splice wires and the Oem bulbs don't work either..I'm pretty sure of that..to me that's not worth it..it's a JDM part..

It's because they are custom..... He took the led strip headlights, and took me apart to mount the halo.

Not my cup of tea.... Halo's should stick with BMW, I think they look awkward and gaudy on audi's

If that's the way this was done... I'm not daring to open a $300+ headlamp to put halos that may work for a month and then die... I agree with your BMW theory when it comes to 2 halos side by side, but what they did on these specific headlamps just look very cool imo

I don't get it... Are you implying at $300 is an expensive amount to be spending on headlight casings?
You do realize oem bixenon on are $700 EACH at the dealership without even getting the bulbs and ballasts and people regularly tear into them...

If any headlight was to be tore into, it should be these ones. I have a spare set of these in my garage, they are terrible in all aspects. Check my avatar pic, I HAD them... And would not recommend anyone else to ever get them.

http://www.lightwerkz.net/

here if you can't tackle light modifications yourself then send any lights of your choosing to these people.
They do great work. Im not affiliated with them. When I purchased these lights I researched this company to put in better projectors and better LEDs for me.
Understand in the end you probably will spend as much money on aftermarket lights as OEM ones though LOL. I hate B7 OEM design so that's why I considered this route. If you are not in that category, dont bother, be patient - get OEM then send them to FLY to get LED put in.
