Ok so thank you for looking. I have a wheel bearing going out (driver rear) and need a quick fix and found a driver rear upright with a quiet one. Only issue is its from a v6, and i have a 1.8t. Will it work or are the drive axles different?

Yes, it's the same rear bearing

I mean will it fit in the spindle thats attatched, basically swap it out complete for the non noisy one?

Yes, it will fit. You can swap the whole upright. But I gotta tell you, rear wheel bearings are a high failure item on a B5. We all go through them. For all the work you're going to do to get that upright out, you really want to put a used one in?

Buy a new one on ebay, i just did it 2 weeks ago. I took the hole upright out and brought it to a garage, they charged me 20 bucks to take the only one and put the new one in, plus they sandblasted it a bit too :D

this is the driver rear and would be my second time replacing it. I bought the bearing from fcpgroton... failure. Used mjm for my passenger rear and couldnt be happier. Just saying i need a quick simple fix for time being

Why would you need a simple fix? it wont do anything but noise... its not like a fwd, theres the bolt in the cv shaft holding the hub, so it wont fall off...
