Does anyone have any reviews on this product or does anyone have it in their cars yet? I'm planning on buying it but I just want to check if anyone has it first.

Wait for the B8 A4 JHM SS to be released. Believe me it is well worth the wait.

Got the JHM prototype on my car. Feels so solid! Smooth and short, only at 20% reduction. You will be able to adjust all the way up to 45% in the final product.

There are quite a few of us that have this, it works incredibly well, it's a great value at the price, and it's very easy to install - with no tearing apart the interior of your vehicle. It's a simple idea, but I was personally pretty shocked at the result. What I was looking for was shorter throw and a reduction in the slop of the stock setup. This solves both issues. PM me if you have any specific questions.

I think $149 for an already-available product with a 45% reduction in throw and an easy, 15 minute install is a sweet deal.

X2...Thats my only complaint about the new s4 is the feel of the shifter. Feels to weak and rubbery...Needs that Soild shifter from JHM. JHM's also reduces the height of the shifter a half inch aswell.

You guys have fun waiting for them to finish figuring out how to make their product work.
Ours works great.
It's also over $100 less.

Yeah I was thinking of waiting for the JHM but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be way more expensive. I just wanted some feedback on the stratmosphere cause it seems like a great product but it's so inexpensive that I thought there might be something bad about it.... But I guess not.

The JHM shifter was announced at $275. The Hypershift and JHM shifters are different in how they alter shifting characteristics and they differ greatly in terms of construction. It's up to you in terms of what you want out of your shifter.

If I recall correctly...it was a light switch in the garage? I'm one for trying simplicity first, then moving to more complex solutions if needed. I'm happy with this thing on all fronts, guess if they are offering a $ back - you really can't lose. I love it when people put their money where their mouth is.

Funny. I bet if JHM had worked out a deal with Stratmosphere, they'd be pushing that product instead of the Hypershift one.
Listen to those who won't be making money off of what you buy. The JHM will be by far the better product.

He did listen to someone who won't be making money off what he buys. I make nothing from Strat, just a happy customer who respects the service and product they provide and wanted to provide insight into my experience. (Which is what he asked for.) And I'm not slamming the JHM by any means, could work out to be a fine product... it is funny however that people, many with no experience at alll with EITHER product, have strong opinions as to which one is "better" or "right" for someone else.

Although you do own one of the products, seems to me that you also have strong bias about which one is "better" or "right" for someone else. "so don't discount this thing just because it's NOT over-engineered. ", assuming the JHM one is over engineered?
I have my opinions also, but I think we have to look at the differences in the two products to really grasp how these products set themselves apart, which may shed some light on the price variation.
I'd say both products are engineered for their specific applications. One serving to provide smoother/shorter shifts, the other to provide smooth shifts/provide different amounts of reduced throw/adjustable reverse spring rate/solid & responsive feel. Although some functions of each product overlap, it is obvious that there are devices to differentiate the two products. It is up to the buyer to decide what he/she wants out of the upgrade.
Regardless, najjar, congrats on your purchase. I'm sure you'll love it. For all those waiting for JHM, you won't be disappointed.

No, not assuming JHM in particular is over engineered. As I mentioned, it could turn out to be a great product. This was more in response to Najarr's expressed hesitancy about the Hyper's low price point possibly = inferior, or ineffective solution. I catch myself doing the same thing at times and have to make an effort to accept that in many cases, simple and inexpensive, does actually work. My only bias on Hyper is that Hyper has worked for me. I like the simplicity and ease of installation coupled with the desired outcome - this is my opinion, this is what he was asking about.
The other point was just that you are the only person who's opinion of the JHM shifter holds water, if you are the only one with real world experience on the product. Incidentally, I am actually intersted in your feedback on it.

I believe one other Audizine member has the JHM SS on his S5. I think his name is ExhaustNote.
My review can be found in the original thread for the JHM SS, Post #8

In fact I was the next post asking about the install. I was all jazzed up about it, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get that boot off to put it in. Turns out the console comes up as one piece I guess.

installed Hypershift on Friday; great product and very easy install for GMP Performance in Charlotte, NC. Your product works as advertised, and it's a big upgrade from the stock connection which is a piece of junk. The car is definitely more fun to drive with Hypershift. Thanks

I had it installed as well and I think for the price, and quality, you cant beat it. Not to mention Stratmosphere is great! They have great products and are awesome to work with. I highly recommend the short throw as well as the hyperflow intake. The intake makes the car sound like a damn airplane! That picture is sick! Mines the one on the right :)

This is known as the "Snob Effect" In the world of High-End A/V. If it's more money it has to sound/look better! Of course that is the farthest thing from the truth.

My Hypershift goes in on Saturday. Im supper excited. The deal is this.......both shifters are very well made. The JHM replaces the stock plastic bushings, and seat, with a nice alloy bearing, and race. Yes the JHM is priced more, but you get more. Most people (unless your racing, or really banging gears constantly) dont need that level of enginering. If you would just like a shorter throw, OEM look, and crisp shifts, with less slop, then the Hypershift is for you. If you want to spend the extra money and get a more dialed in feel then JHM is prob your guy.
