EDIT: i was looking for h&r race... we came to the conclusion they do not make them for the quattro A4... I bought some Vogltand springs to put on my sport suspension shocks/struts for the time being along with an RS4 sway bar... i think i will be VERY VERY happy with the results

so in all my old forums, there was an official lowering spring thread
- post your springs & a picture
i am just on "sport suspension" i am pondering just picking up some springs and wait to buy coilovers unless my stock shocks/struts blow
So i guess "sport suspension"

There's a section on Sport Springs. Not the best photo. If you do this let me know I'm thinking the same thing. I have the same setup as you DG too.

eibach either does "pro-kit" or "sportline" .... you mean you have the sportlines? (unless they changed their names for the b7 a4??)
- anyone with lowering springs, feel free to post pics to help me out... the official suspension thread only has a few spring set up pictures

I don't think H&R makes Race springs for the B7. Last I heard, only the Sport were available.
Just take that $200 and pocket it until you can afford coilovers. No reason to do something twice, especially if you're paying for the installation as that's going to run you well over the cost of the springs.

I would prefer save and get the coils earlier. Once you will have a taste of Race springs (I have them on my Golf), you will regret it, even if it's only for $200. Regret it to what point? To the point where you need to have a Dentist as Friend because you are going to loose a lot of fillings !

looks like the vogtland lowering springs have a pretty decent drop to them... i might go that route with an RS4 rear sway
and no guys, i don't pay for installation... so it really is just $200 to hold me over a while
thought processes
- stock sport suspension only has 17,000 miles on it, so my shocks/struts are GOOD
- $200 springs + APR chip stage 2 + sway OR just blow $1200 on coils
i would rather get 3 mods for $1200 (especially since my shocks/struts are still new)

Maybe I am the only one but that sounds like a bad idea... you can spend up to 400$beanstalks on some race springs, and than up to ( and over) 1000$beanstalks on coils about 15K miles later.... up to you jack!

it will take me over a year to reach 15,000 miles.... $200 is no big deal right now, but dropping $1200 is as my job is tenative on how many new projects we land in April/May is... as I am a General Contractor... also i am heavily leaning towards Vogtlands after seeing a few pics of that kit... i can almost gaurentee sport suspension shock.struts will last me another 30,000 miles atleast with just a 35mm drop

Just remember, the install is pretty pricey if you are paying a professional to do the work. good luck.

i wont incur any install prices at all.... I have a personal mechanic that has worked on my euro cars for the last 6 years.... i buy him beer, he works on my car
- so i spent $220 on the springs, and in one year when i get coils i bet i can sell them for $170 or so... not to shabby in my situation!
