My friend careened off of an icy corner and rolled my a4 into a creek..... most of the body is dented and scratched but my ski rack saved my roof thus not totaling the car.... among the new parts I need is a grill.. I have a Black B7 A4 NON-SLINE and I want an all black grille.... I'm having trouble finding a large selection of black grilles... I'm looking for your suggestions and perhaps some pictures of what you have, what you like, or anything cool you have seen..... Thanks...

Surprisingly the car isn't too bad... I live in Montana so there was a few feet of snow on the ground and my ski racks acted as a roll bar so my roof didnt get too harmed just some dents, dings, broken windows, and scratches... the sketchy part was my car was flipped with a creek running through the inside.. its kinda shitty because it was a grand short of being totaled....

WTF is rolled the wheels? His friend rolled his wheels into the creek and therefore his body is dented?

If that was my friend he'd still be in that creek.

Sorry to hear. That's a bummer it's just shy of being totaled. I would fight for them to total it if possible. Either that, or congratulate your friend on his new car.

Woah I agree. If you actually rolled your car as in flipped it and then had water damage on the interrior I would DEFINITELY have it totaled. It will be worth zero if you ever try to sell it. It most likely will never handle the same, even if ya fix it.

TO THE OP:
PLEASE CLARIFY WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED?
Did any of the exterior submerge in the matter? If so what parts were submerged?
Also, post pictures.

Rage! Anger! Lack of reading!
His friend hit ice and slid off the road into a creek, rolling the CAR (not the wheels, come on now) at one point in this chain of events, which is why the roof rack acted as a ROLL BAR. The car was upside down with water running over the headliner. The car can be made fine again, it's going to require the replacement of many interior components, along with body panels.

This could've easily been avoided, see example below:
Friend: Can I borrow your car?
Me: No, but you can go fuck yourself.

the car did indeed roll... it was a hairpin turn on a sketchy ass mountain road... the corner is always super icy and comes up on you quick if you dont know its comin.. the embankment is angled at approximately 60-65 degrees and when he went straight off the turn the car tipped and proceeded to roll onto the roof... unfortunately it was on its roof in a small to moderately sized creek with about 8-14 inches of water running over the headliner... and like I said before I live in Montana and we currently have a little over two feet in town so the snow also helped absorb the impact..
I will post some pictures later I just gotta get my friends camera that he took pictures of the aftermath with

well it is an interesting tidbit that I thought people may find somewhat intriguing... and I did already have a wanted ad in the classifieds for one so there is clearly no need for such an elaborate cover up...

wow if this is true I'm definitely sorry to hear that. From what it sounds like..do as others have said and just try to get insurance to total the car. resale value on that car will be absolutely nothing.
Also...should be a lesson to not let your friends drive YOUR car in sketchy conditions.
I too would like to see pics though out of curiosity

Water running through the headliner, and getting into the sunroof, etc, and who knows what's it's gonna screw up down the road. Still, the weight of the car on the roof rack and the weight being applied to the four spots, I dunno, I just thing the roof is going to be messed up in some other physical way.

Ive never in my life heard of a rollover that wasnt totalled. Technically the amount they pay out should have to cover to get all the scratches and dings out from all the panels, fix the interior so there is no water damage, fix all the glass in the car, and any other little things that might have gone wrong. If they dont total it, tell your buddy he just bought himself a slightly used Audi. I know shit happens, but there has to be a way. Go give the body shop guy a few C-notes and tell him to MAKE SURE its unfixable for a reasonable cost. This surprisingly works if the guy is cool enough. He may just "find" a few things he thought were ok and thus make the car too much to fix. Not to mention, ive never really heard of them coming within $1000 and keeping it there. You could also pursue the loss of value on the car as well as you will NEVER be able to sell this this thing is a pristine example....

You're my idol.
Dude, get your insurance to total that car. If they repair it you will be upside down on the diminished value and rolling that into car payments for the rest of your life.
^ditto. INSIST they total that car.
