Metal alternative under-tray?

first, greetings from rio de janero.

second, a while back someone was talking about creating/selling an alternative to the plastic skid plate (not the license plate holder) underneath the bumper. mine is torn and I would prefer not to spend $100 on a piece of plastic that will undoubtedly break again.

i thought i saw some pics as well. does anyone have a bead on this and/or selling it? thanks

this will soon be listed as a self made part in my sig
i'll probably spend 30$ on scrap piece of aluminum
and 30$ on Stainless hardware
piece of cardboard, tin snip the shape, 2 bends with a 2X4, drill here drill there......BOOM
Get creative and try to make it your self or try to find a used one at a parts dissassembler/ junk yard like Shokan.com or something.

but of course i wont do it till its too late or the one i have breaks........lazyness

do these really break that often? my side ones have holes in them. the ones that cover the of the middle of the car.
