Hey all!

So, after reading up on this... I am still in shock that you need to remove tires/bumper to replace a BULB! Wow.

Either or, I'll be doing it tonight. I have some instructions from the Stickies that i'll b e using. Seems pretty easy. But anyone have any "watch out for"'s or "make sure you"'s I should be aware of? lol

Thanks,

Phil...

Yeah you dont need to do all that. It just makes it easier to get to thats all. At least for the fogs. Headlights i think you need to remove the intake cover

Phew. Good thing I didn't have a chance to do this yesterday. I'll take a look at it today then.

But it's odd because I can't find ONE post anywhere explaining how to just replace the bulbs. Maybe I'll create a DIY if the bumper isn't needed to be removed. lol...

One of my fog lights are out anyway, so the bumper will have to come off anyway, but I'll replace the headlights first.

I'm running yellow lamin-x on the fogs. May replace the bulbs instead, this is good to know!

Incorrect, sir. You just need someone with skinny arms if you're non-sline and don't be afraid to twist hard because there is a notch that keeps it from turning initially. Did it myself when I installed my Höens, but it was a bitch until I figured out that you just can't fear breaking the fog light housing. Only take the bumper off if you need to.

As for the headlights, you can replace the drivers side easily, and the passenger side requires you removing the airbox to get at it.... just need a screw driver.

Yep. Thanks a lot guys.

After looking into it, I was able to replace the headlights fairly easily. Just like you said freeflow, two screws for the airbox and it's smooth sailing.

I'll try the fog lights this week. Didn't get a chance to when I was doing the headlights.

Hate to be a thread stealer, but how do the tints on fogs look? Like for instance lamin-x yellow? I just dont want my audi to look ricey or tacky.

Happy to help... even though Canada just escaped with the gold today!! [evilmad] Crosby is just plain NASTY.

Forgot to mention when you attempt the fogs, you have to turn them clockwise (when facing the front bumper) hard. [wrench]

LOL!! I wasn't too impressed with his contribution this Olympics..... but hey... I guess he came through when we needed it most! ;) But the US had an awesome team! Miller is an outstanding goalie.... Surprised that Crosby was able to squeek that goal 5-hole. But man was it a sweet feeling!

Thanks again freeflow! I'll try this out either tonight or tomorrow!

I did the fogs a few weeks back and cut the hell out of my forearms, ended up taking the bumper off which wasn't too bad. Good luck!! You may want to grease your arms! Seemed to help this guy.

^^ LOL... yeah as i said before... if you don't have skinny arms... try to find someone who does.

If you can't, bumper's coming off... and I would suggest doing something else while the bumper's off like clear cornering your headlights so that you get the most out of the effort. DIY for that found here (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?105668-B7-A4-New-Member-Guide-FAQ!-Answers-to-the-most-commonly-asked-questions!&p=1247504#post1247504) (scroll down to DIY section) [wrench]

Happy modding.

LOL. I know what you guys mean. The back of my hands had a few scratches/bruises. But it only took about 30 mins to do them. :) I still haven't replaced the fogs though. I live in a condo, so I don't want to get under the car/ take the bumper off in my parking garage. Waiting for my buddy with a nice garage/tools to have some time. lol...
