My car is stock for the most part. A boost guage and snub mount is all I've done so far. I don't get into it very much and use it mostly just to commute back and forth to work daily. Yesterday I just had an itch and punched it from a stop sign. Well the boost guage went up to about 6psi and then the car felt like it just hit a brick wall. I let off and kept crusing and everything seemed fine. I didn't get into it again and no CEL ever came on. Is this fuel cut or a boost leak? Other than basic maintenance the only thing I've replaced on the car is the PCV system, so I assume still stock DV and stock cam follower. [eek] Anyway, just trying to get an idea of what I need to look at. The car has 58k miles on it.

You are correct sir, those are the two areas that you need to check first. It sounds like your car has a boost leak as it was only reaching 6psi. If it was a fuel cut you would notice loss of power and almost like shaking/struggle while you were accelerating. To me it sounds like your DV, but with that many miles on your car, you should check your follower as well. Good luck!
