you will need a lot more parts than just panels and "wings"

I would probably start with the V8 and go from there.

http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?263404-From-B6-S4-to-B7-RS4-widebody this will give you a very good idea of what your facing, his started as a b6 so you wont need a couple of the things that he did but for the most part it's a very similar process, good luck.

OK two ways of doing it...easiest and cheapest way is doing a NON-wide body which is what I did.
You will need deval rs4 front, rs4 grill, rs4 mesh fog grills, dtm(or votex) side skirts, and for the rear your can either go with the votex, dtm, or deval. You keep all yours doors, fenders, and wings as normal b7
The only thing is the deval front was a b*tch to put on as far as fitting it just right. (Check link in sig)

If you want the full rs4, your gonna need all the rs4 body panels. Both front fenders and rear wings, plus the full front end (bumper and all grills, you can keep your hood or upgrade to the slightly lighter rs4 hood)
You might need other stuff as well such as the radiator support and impact bar, but since you already have a b7, i think the existing ones will work, if you do the wide body.

then what's the point? [rolleyes]

at that point it's no longer a "conversion", it's an A4 with RS4 bumpers.

Your second 'option' is the only option! [up]

Yeah, no one does that much work and spends that much money and never takes a picture once. Is this conversion sitting next to your 3000hp Enzo you never take pictures of either?

Well I did a b6 to b7 conversion, it was easier/cheaper to do it that way...
Just putting the option out there

I just find it amusing considering people post pictures of fucking trim, or new lenses and shit. But you wouldnt post pictures of a FULL ON OEM RS4 WIDEBODY CONVERSION?! That just goes against everything that car forums are about. Therefore...i call shenanigans!

What's the point? The car is an A4, not RS4. I understand trying to make it look better but I sure wouldn't want to be the guy having to explain I own an RS4 wanabe A4... An RS4 body conversion for an A4 is far from cheap and the end goal would be to fool the unsuspecting into believing you own an RS4. I predict the follow up thread to this one will be, "Where can I order RS4 badges?"

"wow sick car man, is that an RS4?"

"Na it's an A4 but it sure looks like one"

"So it's not an RS4, ohh....."

Personally this sort of stuff reminds me of people who put RS and S badges on A4's. While I'd never purchase an RS4 (never saw the point), I'd love to get an E90 M3, de-badge, and put 328xi badges on just to screw with people.

this argument will go on forever, I'll give you a few examples. B5ers who have the bmw lip spoiler, they're not trying to be bmw's are they? Or BBK upgrades that have Porsche calipers with the word PORSCHE on them. The point is that the RS4 body is tits and at least he's trying to keep it OEM

OP here:

I'd estimate around $5000 In parts + Paint + labor

I agree with all this. Funny cause i ran up on an 07 B7 A4 and the guy debadged and put an S4 badge on. I never got that point. You look even more foolish when people think you have a real one and smoke you left and right. I guess the go has to equal the show.....

I for one like the body conversion. I dont think it's ricey either. It gives the car one hell of a stance. And so long as you dont badge it RS, then its good in my books

Oh yea...no way you should put an RS4 badge on...all we doing is putting a kit on that happens to be an rs4 kit...as long as you dont go around calling it an rs4 or badging as an rs4, whats the problem?
There will always be the show or go debate....at the end of the day you need both I guess.

I think my next project is going to be an RS4 to A4 narrow-body conversion... [cool]
