While I was on my honeymoon I dropped off my A4 for a face lift. Being the dumb ass that I am, I did not have a good experience with PlastiDip, I guess prepping isn't my thing. So I dropped it off at my buddys paint shop for some things to get painted eggshell semi black (Which I am sure I don't have to name out what was painted, being the B7 experts you guys are). I had also gotten all my bumper lights, side markers, and tails lightly smoked out as well.
Sorry for the shitty pics. We've had some nasty weather here in the DFW area, just started snowing again, WTF this is Texas.!!!

My tail lights aren't dull at all, not sure exactly what your talking about. I had everything lightly smoked and cleared professionally.
Spacers have been ordered, 5mm front, 10mm rear

Looks good! I actually like the blacked out grille (including the Audi rings). Now just get those wheels powder coated black ;)

The rings could go either way, so that's not a prob. the side markers should of been sanded prior to being 'blacked out' it would of kept the amber look to a minimal. The tails need to be either darker or take it off completely. The whole lightly look doesn't go good w/ the theme you're trying to go for (pretty much go all out - kinda motto). As for deciding on whether you want to keep the wheels, i say get some really aggressive spacers, or sell them (if u decide to keep, keep them the color they're).

Are my eyes messing with me? In the first pic I was going to say CC mod but then in the next it looks like its already done. I like the look but like already stated would have kept the rings chrome but if you like it then stick with it. Looks good!

Yeah I think it looks good - if you keep the wheels I'd get em powdercoated black and some spacers - but something like the VMR V701 in black would look killer..
Here are some quick shots from my camera phone, it's not very good but will give you an idea. I used Krylon matte black spray paint (made for Plastic), just sanded a little with 220 extra fine grit sandpaper and sprayed on 3 or 4 coats, very easy to do. I may end up respraying the trunk trim piece to either color match or gunmetal...I think it might be "too" much contrast...haven't quite decided. You have a lot more black in your car so I think it would look really good on yours...

OP, great job. I agree with most that you should've left the front rings. Was also wondering why didn't you have the roof gloss?

The side markers where never amber, the bulb is, and when lit it shins amber. I really don't want to go darker on the tails, like to keep them fuctional and not to dark to get tickets all the time.
I think if I take better pics after washing and a sunny day with my good camera instead of my iPhone you guys will like the results better
And I have spacers ordered, just not in yet.

Yes I have a CC Mod, just with Amber bulbs to keep it legal. So the front shot is dead on seeing the bulbs reflecting, in the second it doesnt

Everything I had painted was all done in the same color black, grill, rings, mirror caps, roof. Didn't really want it glossy. Was trying to go for the plastidip semi gloss color look. It has 3 coats of clear, just a black eggshell color

And thanks for all the comments, good and bad. Everyone has there own taste, and quite frankely I love the direction Im going on my car

I've never seen the amber bulbs with CC. I think that looks great! Are they just the stock bulbs left in there?

No, just went to Autozone and picked up a pack of 2 for 5 bucks. Here in Mansfield they dont mess around when it comes to Window tint, dark smoked lights, front plates, and turn signal color bulbs
This is my old Jetta, talk about Murdered out, I got pulled over at lease 1 time a week
Exactly why I didn't do a dark smoke

LOOKS SICK DUDE! i would recommend vinyl wrapping the trim around the windows black but it looks nice on your car! but if you do wanna go a bit more black you could do that.

Try www.shadowline-tape.com That is what I used. They carry tape and vinyl. I ordered the tape, because they said it goes around the corners so much easier, and it did. I tried the vinyl a couple years ago and had a lot of problems.
