Hey guys, I've done some searching and it seems like no one has asked this, but if they have I apologize in advance. I just got an 06 A4 non s-line with halogens. I don't have the DRL knob, but i do have the "coming home" switch that enables the fog lights to come on when you unlock the car with the remote or when you turn off the engine and open the door. I really like this feature and it definitely comes in handy. However, I'm doing a DTM conversion so I'm going to lose the fogs. I have the LED city lights/DRL and they look great and are definitely brighter! Anybody know of someway to make the "coming home" feature turn on the DRL instead of or in addition to the fog lights? Also, if i lose the fog lights when I do the DTM swap am I going to throw a code? Thanks for the help guys!

well a kind of obvious thing to do would be to re wire your fog wires to your city lights...not totally sure of the way you would do this w. resisters, fault codes, etc. I would personally PM fly300 because he knows everything about lights/electrical in our cars. GL.

NOt to thread jack but... The newer bmw's angel eyes light up when they unlock their car with the key fob... Fly300kts, you should figure out a way for your V3's to light up when you unlock...would bee sweeeeeett....

I did try already but here is the problem:
The coming Home feature is totally managed by the ECU while your headlights are wire to the switch and then to the ECU. I was not able to find a way around
I did try to bridge the circuit but it triggers a warning code

damn... this is way more complicated than i thought! my original thought was to hard wire the DRL/City Lights with the Fog Lights kind of like Eddieman's City/Fog mod, but so that whenever the fogs are on the DRL's are getting power as well. (haven't quite figured that out though...) Fly, is this what you meant by trying to bridge the circuit? maybe some super VAG COM work can make this happen.
