I'm taking in my baby for the upgraded OEM DV and cam follower and an oil change.. There is one more upgrade i can do.. Both are about the same cost..
I have 18" VMR v710s with stock non-sport suspension.. so it looks a little rediculous..
The advise i need is..
I can only afford one or the other
Should i get the car chipped
Or should i get 1.5" Springs with the stock shocks? (only suspension option for cost)
Both the tuning and the drop will cost me about the same..
so yea... what do you guys think?

I would say wait a lil and save for coils. Then save up and chip. Your car might not be quick but it will look damn good!! Or if you want let me borrow your 710's get chipped and save up for coils, and once you do that ill give you back your 710's. Deal??

Save money by doing the dv yourself. I did it in 2 hours and I'm not the best mechanic...save an extra 124 bucks for yyour car! Id say do the cam follower yourself too but I haven't done that one yet. If you're not willing to wrench on your car go to a good indy mechanic to also save money. Oh yeah...do the chip first.

I wish i could, but i live in an apartment complex.. i've wrenched on all my past cars, but i dont have the proper tools or place or any friends to turn to with those.. i'm using a mechanic whos on these boards.. Novitech of miami.. Great guys and very fair prices..
And i cant "wait and save" These Fixes and upgrades are being purchased for me as a gift.. i have about 900$ or so to spend..

Oh come on guys, he has to lower it first. If the car is new to you, then you can spend a little time getting sick of the stock power. At least with a drop, you'll be able to respect yourself when you get out of the car. OP says it looks "rediculous" [sic], so he should fix that first!

i love your color paired with the gunmetal 710's.
I wonder how it would look with blacked out window trim/grill, smoked or vinyled sidemarkers, and a light tint on the tails...could be sweet!
I'd say chip if you are wanting to spend some money right now... if you can wait, I would and save for nice coilovers.. I have stock suspension myself and I'm taking advice from many members on here by "doing it right the first time." So im saving up til I can afford some really nice coilovers.

Welcome to the Dakar Beige club! One of like three
members. I would say go with the chip it made driving the car a completely different expierience. I'm just getting around to lowering it now.

Thanks so much.. I was iffy b4 I got the rims about the look with the Dakar beige but I definetly love it.. It's funny you suggest the blacking out.. I have 2 cans of plastidip I've been waiting to use.. I've had no time or place to paint the stuff..
I understand about saving for coilovers.. That's my main concern, buying springs and wasting the money when I have to upgrade to coils anyway.. I definately need to show my car some love though.. Lol
thanks for the guidance guys.. Chip it must be! Any others?

Haha thanks for the welcome.. I've noticed nobody has this color.. I was actually kinda meh to the color at first but I got an amazing deal on the car.. But as soon as I photoshoped the VMRs onto the car I quickly realized that the color would look sick with stuff darkened..
I can't wait to punch it after a chip tuning....

for the love of god go low! Get the suspension. Your car won't be faster, but it will sure as hell handle better! And get some RS4 sways with it!

Finally someone else is talking sense. If you get the suspension and do some blacking out of the chrome, sidemarkers, etc. your car will be sweet.
Then when you get the scratch together (and APR is having a sale for a fully loaded chip at $600), then chip it.
