My mmi showed oil level completely full after all 8165kms. Tech put 6.7 litres sythetic in. My dsg was not reflashed, so vag codes did not get erased. It will be interesting how oil consuption goes over a 15000km interval. Then again, I might just swap out the oil once inbetween that service. Maybe get a migty vac and vac the oil out and replace, keep the same filter.

6.7 Liters ? That's only 7.08 Quarts. My OM ( S5 Cab.) stated that with filter change, its capacity is 9.3 Quart. What does your OM say

According to Audi USA site, the capacity is 8.558 Quarts/8.1 Liters.

According to Audi USA site, the capacity is 8.558 Quarts/8.1 Liters.
I had the 5k-mile oil change done this past weekend at the dealership. However I brought my own oil. I brought 8.5 quarts, but they ended up using only 7.5 quarts.
they must not get all the oil out with the vac, or some is left in a cooler perhaps. I know the mmi is showing full still. I ordered aq 20 dollar dipstick, pickup for monday.
a litre is a bit bigger than a quart.

Yep 1 Gall = 4 qt = 3.78 liters

I am using the same coversion units as AoA did on their website. Which is Liter to liquid quart (http://www.unit-conversion.info/volume.html ).

My B6 3.0L (AVK) motor takes 6.7L, so I don't see anything unusual about that...

Just had an oil/filter change done on my car at 1,500miles ( I am old-school ), took in 10 Quarts of Mobil 1 0W-40 and the dealership only used ~7.5 Quarts. Like Lou, I verified with both the MMI and the dip stick, both are in agreement that the level is correct.
My recommendation to you all, GET THE DIP STICK !!!! Its PN is : 06E 115 611H. If your local dealer will not sell it to you because it is a "proprietary-only tool", go to this site (http://genuinevwaudiparts.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=214407) and input the PN.
