Got hit on the front end a couple weeks ago, and got a chance to re-paint the bumper obviously because I wasn't responsible for the accident.
So I took advantage of the paint work and bought her a new grille... together with the stock side markers painted. Got the car back today and it looks awesome!!

The bumper is sitting so low... is there a way to adjust the bumper so the gap between the hood and the bumper is not so noticable?

Yeah, take it back to the body shop and have them fix it for you. It looks really good, but if you're like me, that gap will drive you to the brink of insanity.

I know... I want to CC the headlights too but afraid of fogging up the lens.... and my friend tried on a TL and said it was terribly hard to put everything back together....
So I need an experienced person to help me do this...

The bumper should be easy to bring up with those 2 adjustment points on the left and right sides of the grill area.

The EXACT same thing happened to me. I got hit in the front, threw in an RS4 grille and now its beastly. BUT I have that SAME gap and its driving me crazy. Is there any way that I can adjust bumper height?

just an update...

Called the body shop today about the bumper, he actually said that the size of the RS4 grille and the sline grille is different...
the top part of the RS4 grille is actually smaller... which i compared and the sline one actually does look a little wider on top...
besides, he said he adjusted the bumper to the highest already... and my bumper was not damaged or mis-aligned in any way...
so the gap is present because of the grille, and the only way to get rid of the gap is to change back to the sline grille...

I guess I will have to live with that gap for now... it does not look too bad... but i will wait till the next time i do some mod and ask another shop to adjust for me...

I would be interested to see if it can be proved that the RS4 grille is exactly the same size (especially at the top). When I installed mine I had gap problems then I adjusted the screws all the way up....no where near the factory gap. I have since removed the bumper probably 3 times and every time I try to close the gap with no luck. Yesterday I had a timing belt replaced and asked my mechanic to give it a shot since he had to remove it....he couldn't get it any closer either. It's not as noticeable on mine since it's black but it still bugs the hell out of me.

Anyone have pics of these bumper adjustment screws? when you open the hood are they right above the grille?

Here is what IceMole has posted before:

You can see there on the left post the cap is screwed most of the way out, the bumper tab goes between that cap and the post. You probably have it in that notch below the top of the post which is formed from being higher then the base. Don't touch the base part.

When you take the bumper back off loosen the cap, make sure the bumper tab is seated on top of the post, and then after use a T30 torx bit through the top of the bumper to tighten the cap down.

I might be below the post as he pointed out...taking it back Monday for him to fix the gap as I wasn't happy (and he forgot to plug my fogs back in)...will update

He fixed where it was at before but the gap still is not at factory spec.
