Is it me or is there a problem with the search putting posts in random order? There is the button to sort in Ascending or Descending order but that doesn't matter and all the posts are randomly shown such as a post with the last post in 2006 then one in 2005 then the third one down might be 2008 then a 2007 then a 2010. They are not in order from newest to oldest or oldest to newest.

The default is to have the results sorted by title in Ascending order which is pretty stupid.

You will have to change it the results to sort by date in descending order each time unless Anthony changes the defaults for us.

Winston, just noticed, there is a box below the box to change from title to date. The box below it says to save search preferences. Hit the "go" button next to it and it will save your preference to search using the date.

LOL!

I never looked at that part of the page before and always had to manually change the settings! [headbang]

Just some growing pains of the new AZ [:)] I really do want my "forum jump" "go" button back though!! [evilmad]

Well the quick navigation above the quick reply box does the same thing but you don't need to hit 'go'

I want this option on the search results screen too as there is no way to jump from there.

You have to scroll all through that box though to find the forum you are in to go back to it. Before you could just hit the "go" button and instantly go back to the forum, no scrolling for 20 seconds through that box trying to find the forum to go back to.

Gotcha.

I want that back too.

Yes that will be returning soon. And we will be making changes to the default Forum Search settings as well.

More about the new search in my blog...
