I have noticed now that the drivers side front speaker doesn't really work at low volumes. I can tell when I change the settings to the front, and then balance to L. Almost no sound, but when I put it back in the middle, sound from the other side. Anyway, will something like this be covered under warranty?

One other major annoyance. Car has been in twice to the dealer to fix the gas cap cover. It will not release correctly. You have about 2 seconds after you flip the switch in the door to open it, before it relatches itself. I am going to be dropping it off again to have this looked at. I am tired of asking for help from strangers at the gas station. Makes the car look like a piece of crap that doesn't work correctly. If they cannot fix it, I might have to remove the release latch, and just have it open manually like on 95% of other cars on the road. Has anyone run into this before?

The speaker issues, assuming they can reproduce the problem, should be covered. I believe the Audi CPO covers the stock stereo (unmodified of course). As for your other problem, I've never heard of this happening. Just take it to the dealer and have them look at it.

CPO covers the stereo? The standard warranty doesn't.

I was told the CPO warranty covers pretty much everything but the stereo

Really? The whole car is stock, including the stereo. If the stock speaker was no longer working properly, wouldn't that be covered?

My intermittent speaker was covered under the standard warranty when I was under 50k. Not a CPO so this is probably not terribly helpful, but wanted to chime in.

I am not under 50k. Damnit. Which speaker was the intermittent one?

Front passenger door speaker was cutting in and out. It was intermittent and sometimes was fine, and I was thinking they might claim it wasn't broken, but they replaced it without issue.

This might just depend on your service advisor. In my experience, having a good service writer can help out when dealing with getting things covered under warranty. Just bring it to their attention and see if they'll replace under your CPO warranty. If you have different dealerships to choose from in your area, you might want to consider trying a different service department, since the one you've gone to hasn't resolved your gas cover issue.

Unfortunately it is the only dealership around here. I will see what they say. I am dropping it off on Sunday night.
