I have developed and nasty rattle that is driving me insane. After listening intently I noticed when there is somebody sitting in the passenger seat there is not rattle. If I am driving and I put my hand straight down on the passenger seat and push down with some pressure the sound goes away. So it seems that I have tracked down the rattle to the passenger seat but am still not sure what component is causing the rattle.

I was hoping somebody else in here has had this rattle and if they have what they did to fix it. I guess I could dynamat the whole underside of the seat [o_o]!!!

If you have any input please let me know!

Passenger airbag switch? Pull the seat (easy) and check out the underside of the seat.

I wish my rattles were as easy as that......

Thanks...think I will have to wait until the big melt! Too much snow and too cold to pull the seat!

for pulling the seat isn't there a star bolt for the mounting? it kinda looks like torx but way more points.

I hear ya. Don't do anything here in MN between Dec and March. Have some garage time next week, though, in a heated garage to do the DV.

Not sure on the torx bolt. I know I pulled them on my B5, but don't remember what kind of bolts were used.
