Radio Acting Weird

I recently ordered a new radio for my B5 and it arrived and I took it to an Audi specialist and they installed it. Now, the volume is all out of whack, like when i go to turn it up sometimes the volume will go down, sometimes it will just stay the same and rarely, rarely does it go up. Same thing for turning it down and adjusting the bass ect....

Is there anything I can do to fix this or is it a defective radio, any ideas??

it was the stock one, the audi concert.
