i thought the difference between suspensions was sport vs. non-sport, not s-line vs. non-s-line.

S-line is "sport"

Will an S-Line suspension from a sedan fit on an Avant?

And what is the life of the S-Line shocks? Does a used S-Line suspension with 36k mikes have lots of life left?

I think the spring rates may be different for an Avant but I "think" they will physically work.

S-line shocks with 36k should be fine. I wouldn't worry about that.

i was under the impression that you could have a non-s-line with sport suspension.

edit: and the op changed the title accordingly. word.

Yes, shocks and springs are fit the same, but Avants have different spring rates I believe.

Thanks for the help guys. I guess I will hold out for an Avant S-Line Suspension.

I have a non-sline with sport suspension. The drop in the back is more significant than the front. I'm running 19s and I have about two fingers gap in the back and about 3 in the front

30mm or so, its pretty noticeable when a car has non-sport or sport

Why don't you just subscribe to the suspension classifieds and wait for a sweet deal on coilovers?

I have an s-line A4 with 49,000 miles and sport suspension. how much life do you think I will have left in the struts if I get some H&R springs?

I bought a set of sports suspension from another member here. Has about 40k on it, overall in good shape, but I noticed the rubber spring seat (rear) are fairly worn out and had cracks in them. So best to have those replaced if installing it on a non s-line. The rubber seat is about $6 each online
