You can buy new coils and send Audi the receipt

to answer your question, it will work, but not really. Using a 1.8T coil is better then running the car on a blown coil. I would switch it go to the dealer buy the coil and then switch it right away.
You wont have full power so dont drive it like a maniac. But yeah you can.

Call the dealer, they should be able to replace all coils under pending recall. I had mine replaced without any recall paperwork free of charge. Good luck.

They won't physically work. One is significantly longer than the other. If you need replacements, we have them (http://www.europaparts.com/audi-ignition-coil-pack-07k905715f-genuine-audi.html)
