View Full Version : A lil trimming

So I took the front wheels off and did some modifying and triming to the wheel well areas to lower it down even more so I wouldn't have a reverse rake. So after finishing it up and doing a complete suspension look over (Nuts & Bolts), lowering my coils and makin sure all 4 corners are at the same ride heigth, I put it all back together. The results: My car is fucking low, maybe even lower than I like. So I'm sure sometime next week after my car gets out of the paint shop I'll raise all four corners up [wrench] some for a more comfortable ride.
Sorry only took 2 pics at a local do it yourself carwash with my iPhone. Wish it would stop raining. It should be sunny when I get my car back for better pics and updates

Leave it, get some spacers and you'll be golden.

So if I'm rolling a 18x8 rim with a et35 backspace. What would you recommend for the front and rear

It depends on how aggressive you wanna go. [evilsmile] Anywhere from 10-15 for what I consider to be an aggressive fitment. But go out, take your time and measure how much clearance you have from the tire to the fender. Cus its easy for me to call plays from the sideline, but it's your car. [;)]
It looks good that low tho, I'd keep that. [:d]

I know alot of people are going to tell me to go with ECS Tuning. But it just so happens I have a Summit Racing Card and noticed they have spacers for my A4 made by Eibach. Here is the link. What should I get for front and rear, they dont make a 2mm. Just 5, 8, 15, 20, 25..

So should I do a 5mm in front and 8mm in the rear and raise up the coils a little??

wow thats low. did you take out the bolts that hold the wheel well liners? I had to take my front 12mm spacers out because they rubbed those bolts like crazy or the slightest bumps and dips.

Yes that happened to be 1 of many things I did. Thats common, alot of people I know remove those bolts

The ones on Summit are hub-centric so you should be good to go. [up]

Can you turn or corner hard without rubbing? Might want to check that before spacers because IMO spacers will only make it worse.

Yes I can, but regardless I'm going to raise it, there's no comfort this low
