Were these developed on S-Tronic and manual cars?

Sounds great. Is there any power to be made an exhaust on this platform?

ag - yes

With our ECU flash and exhaust we are producing between 400-410hp

When will your ecu flash be available ? and does audi warranty it if you get it done at a audi stasis dealer?

Yep, it sounds awesome. We should have some pictures up soon...the STaSIS guys visited us yesterday with the car...the build quality is phenominal. And it's a great price point too:

I see lots of stuff about sound for these exhausts, but no dyno data. Post it up!

No dyno chart yet. With our beta testing we were around 400-410hp with just exhaust and ECU flash.

hi,

i have a question on the ecu upgrade : up until now, all the tuners proposals (abt, mtm, etc.), thus being piggy-backs (and so not being able to tune all aspects of the engine electronic) develop 430+ CHP... i would have expected, from a true ecu tuning, at least the same value (and hoped for something more.....) so there must be another explanation... thanks,

F.

I'm sure part of it is STaSIS ECU tuning comes with a warranty so they want to keep the engine operating with in a certain comfort zone.
Tuning an engine to the extreme side is one thing but getting a solid tune that's not going to grenade the engine or prematurely wear things out or give you fuel cuts is another thing. Then backing it up with a warranty because you know you did it right, that's how STaSIS rolls.

Back to topic, ordering a Challenge series for a client. Hopefully have vid's to post and some pics too. Going on an Imola Yellow S4 :-D

Both versions can be used with either manual or auto transmissions, but automatics tend to shift at lower RPMs which make the exhaust resonate more. Some people have had issues with this in the past, so STaSIS developed two differently tuned exhausts. They are completely compatible; it's all just a matter of sound preference.

Since data we have seen so far from stock B8 S4's puts them in 370 - 380 CHP range, does this mean that your chipped + exhaust (stage 2) upgrade is only worth 20 - 30 HP?

Stasis,

don't do like other companies.... post REAL DYNOS of your stock/chipped b8 s4, and make us understand real gains and stock numbers... trust me, with all the actual mess and speculations about stock CHP, nobody is going to buy something without evidence of the numbers....

Is the exhaust supposed to stick out that far? I was hoping it would be a little more flush and not stick out as much.. it sounds amazing though.

On how much boost?

400hp is a bit suspect with abt claiming 435hp, mtm 430, and sportec 425, all without exhausts.

Most exhausts will expand and contract as much as an inch when its hot vs. cold. On my B6, my Milltek sits slightly inside the bumper when its cold, and half and inch outside the bumper when its hot.

I think you need to angle them a bit more... If they're going to stick out that far. Just maybe another 1/2" or less on the outside pipes... and take the overall length down an inch. Reminds me of an M5.

Nice work overall tho!

Our exhaust systems will grow up to 1" during the heat cycle.

We are focused on engine longevity and warranty, not pushing the motors past their tolerances.

Interested in the Stassis ECU flash..what's the deal with the Audi warranty? Is it voided? I get different answers from different Audi dealers.

Absolutely NOT voided, in fact you get this THROUGH your participating Audi dealer

So everybody's on the same page, my understanding is that Stasis (similar to Dinan) will simply foot the bill for warranty claims that Audi denies based on Stasis modifications. So you're not covered by Audi for modification-related failures, but Stasis will essentially guaranty you coverage. This may be a bit tricky with buying extended warranties or trying to CPO the vehicle with Audi in the future, as I don't know if Stasis will warranty parts beyond the factory warranty period. Stasis, if I'm wrong on this please confirm.

Since AWE put out a dyno of their exhaust, how about we see a dyno sheet for the Stasis exhaust?

Can you link to the AWE dyno? All I've seen from them is a dyno of a stock S4.

Sorry, I read too fast and didn't realize you were looking for numbers with exhaust. I don't think they have released it yet. I don't expect to see much on a supercharged car.

Just put a challenge series on a customer's S4 today. Sounds good. Surprisingly quiet in the cabin. No down pipes on this from what I could see. I missed the install since I was tied up. I'll try to post up a bit more once I go for a drive with the customer.

I think it looks and sounds great! My guess is 410hp is conservative. The car is going to be plenty fast with these upgrades. Most drivers can't utilize the hp they have anyway including owners of this car.

Matt@EuropaParts

It was an intro special. Normal price is $1495 regardless of Touring or Challenge model.

Whats the difference between these two options?

The Touring is a bit quieter and better suited for the DSG transmission (because it shifts to the most fuel efficient gear, which might create some droning). The Challenge exhaust is a bit more aggressive, which is better for a manual transmission car (assuming that you're above 2000 RPM most of the time). It's a very balanced exhaust...agressive without being overbearing.

I'd love to hear some more comparisons between the stock and Challenge exhaust, especially from the interior so as to better gauge the difference.
