So I came to a sad realization that my warranty will be up in less than 1,000 miles, and they are coming on fast.

Right now my biggest issue some rattling, rubbing noises, during braking. Long time issue...Friend of mine said that my tie rod ends could also be an issue.

And also an issue I've had for a while is sort of like fuel cuts under high acceleration. (im thinking it could be related to the cam follower)

I went in for a cam follower related code and they didn't do the cam follower TSB, so I'm thinking of taking the car in, then doing the DIY check and going back if needed. (anybody in LI want to help? :P)

Anything else i should "look" for them to do?

I recently did an oil change so i know im up to date on that.

You could always check into an extended warranty? Always an option.

More than likely its about 2.5k to 3k just to get the warranty. I don't have that kind of $$$ to get the warranty, not sure if its worth it in the end anyway

CPO has been worth it for me. Coil pack, caliper, couple small turbo issues, rear view mirror, window trim, fixed all at no charge.

Coil packs should be covered even when im out of warranty now due to that recall. Knock on wood i dont have anything else go bad

make sure your car wasnt purchased in 05 or jan 06 or else your warranty already expired cuz its 4 years OR 50k whichever comes first. that said, read the sticky on common 2.0t problems and hope that you have had those problems fixed with the latest revisions of those parts cuz the 06 seems to have plenty of parts that give out.
