hey guys,
it's about time I upgraded my system inside.
currently running:
- pioneer avic d3
- stock non-bose speakers/tweeters in the front
- polk db series component speakers/tweeters/crossovers in the rear (stock something coils burnt out)
I want a decent amp and subwoofer for that little extra kick. I heard from a friend I needed a 2-channel amp for our cars?
any recommendations or suggestions would be appreciated. [up]

You will need a 4 channel to run all your speakers. Also I would get a second set of Components for the front of the same brand you have in the rear, otherwise your soundstage could get screwed up.

Assuming your car doesnt have the Bose amplified system, adding a sub is pretty straight forward.
Yes you will need an amp to run an aftermarket sub, and depending on the subwoofer you go with, either a 2ch or mono amp can be used to run it.

Or at the very least take the stock speakers from the front, put them in the back and put your pioneers in the front.
What amp you need depends on what you want to do. Amp all speakers - 4ch. Amp for sub - 1 ch.
I didn't want to open a new thread..
As the title says, I have a small setup that I am currently looking at.
B7 A4 RNS-E, Non-Bose
Stock speaker is not bad, but I just want to add some more punch for bass songs. I'm not looking for crazy bump, just little bit more heavier than the stock subwoofer.
Would this be ideal? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_20062_MTX-TNP112D.html
I read some threads on how to tap the wires with RCA cable. I just want to get some of your ideas..
Thanks

That box is huge. It's gonna take up half of your cargo space.
