A4 after alot of exterior mods [Archive]

What I had done,
-Paint my grill and license plate holder matte black
-INstall RS4 Mirror caps
-Debadge
-paint rear valence matte black
and in a few days hopefully I will have my rear roof spoiler on the car.
I am also getting the trunk lip right under the actual trunk vinyled matte black, and debating whether I want to vinyl the roof matt black, or the window trim...

P.S.- I checked my cam follower yesterday, was in almost perfect condition. I have 40K miles on the car, and bought it at 35k used. It was CPO so there is a large chance they replaced it at 35k miles, cause I highly doubt that it has lasted this long. I also installed the Eurojet PCV fix this weekend.

The B6 S4 had chrome, the B7 had matt silver. The B7 RS4 has a different design of mirror.

Your mods look good so far - a vinyl black roof would look good too, but I'd get coilovers & more aggressive wheels first, if it was mine.

Oh, and clear corners [up]

Looks nice from Jersey [up] I would say blacking the window trim should be the next cosmetic mod. The roof isn't a bad idea either.

Thats my point the rs4 mirror caps have a different design from the s4 mirror caps, at least on the b7 rs4, but anyways car looks good

How come you went with the silver caps but blacked out the grill but then kept the chrome window trim but now want to black out the roof? Not trying to be a dick just seems like there are multiple themes going on

and I give you crap for it too [;)] but your car is already black. Don't get me wrong it looks good but I think IB A4's look so good with a B&W theme. Thats why Titanium IB's are so damn sexy, they have almost no chrome other than the rings.

You're right, but with a caveat. The B7 RS4 cabriolet, for whatever reason, had the S4 style mirrors. But for all intents and purposes, what the OP has are the S4 mirrors, which look great!

I know a guy that did the same thing, I know its weird since I want everything black but installed something not black, but it actually flows much nicer than if I were to have painted the stock ones black.

and I guess my next most important mod will be black out the window trim, cause then I am 100% B/W (minus the caps which i just explained) and the audi rings but I wouldn't touch those anyway.

yeah dude i am VERY low on funds, I really need to cut back, I got bit by the mod bug SO hard. I have spent about 3.5k on the car so far, had it for about 4 months.

The painting was included with the TP and DP, but had it done a few weeks after I got those installed, that was 350$ for that all. the mirror caps were 140 (used), great price since they are ~500$ OEM.
the vinyls are going to be about 50$ for the roof, trunk lip, and/or window trim.
I just spent 38$ on a custom 90 degree elbow spacer for my o2 sensor since I have a CEL.
I am going to HAVE to get a radar jammer (have a friend hooking me up with a passport 8500 x50 for 215$ new of course :) )
sooo yeah and I just paid a 35$ parking ticket, 95 $ speeding ticket, and 2 points on my license, costing me 75$ a month
o and i just quit my job cause I have lacrosse.
and my parents dont pay for shit minus the food I eat.
sooooo im fucked haha.

haha yeah, I had about 17K after I dropped the 10k down on the car, now have about 13.8k in my savings. I promised myself I would save enough to pay off the whole car at any given point (just for security purposes) but that promise has gone down the shitter. Now remember, I am a junior in HS, so I don't have time for any job ontop of school, SAT/ACTs, lax, and rents getting divorced last month. so pretty much i need to STOP buying shit that I don't need at the moment lol.

edit- yeah thanks for the doing it right comment lol, I definitely jumped into some stuff without doing my research, but I was known to do that since I was a little kid (breaking shit without reading directions, seizing a 600$ remote control nitro car because I didn't ever tune the carb and it ran so lean that the engine just fucked itself up) and so naturally I jumped into buying the first tune I could get my hands on which was a poor choice, since GIAC has no stage two or CEL delete for the TP. but all in all I am having fun, and love driving my car.

Car looks great right now but IMO you have one color too many going on at the back (and front)..
You have... of course the white, then red from the brake lights, black from the valence and side markers, silver from oooo and the trunk lip....and to top it all, Yellow from the Jersey plate [headbang] ...not that you can do much about it

I would keep the valence white and lose the smoked side markers
...and feel good about not living in VT with their Green plates [:D]

i spray tinted those markers, so there goes that.
plus I WILL be getting the trunk lip vinyled soon, so that will be matte black,
i am going to cut the thing the license plate is over so that little part isn't poking out.
the chrome from the rings don't count because I have to match those front and back. the plate I can't do anything about.
I guess I could tint the rear light, but i never really liked that look...
ill figure something out.

I REALLY want matte black VMR v710s. I know its not what people would reccomend, but I LOVE that deep dish look those wheels give. IF not that I would 100% go BBS reps.

thanks for the offer, once I get the trunk LIP vinyled, the window trim, and get my rear roof spoiler on, if I don't like the red of the lights, I will either tint them or trade my side markers.

I don't think anyone dislikes the VMR V710's. I would only say that they are common, but hell its a hard to beat design, and looks sexy as hell. I say go for it if thats what you like.

im using a filler plate in minnesota where a front plate is required and ive never been hassled, maybe cops in the tri-state are less lenient as those in the mid west. i say risk it til you get pulled over haha and then put the plate on.
