We appear to have managed to lay our hands on 10 of these B6/B7 H-Sport Rear Anti-Sway Bars, which are not listed on the main Hotchkis site, or on our website, and I'd like to clear them out.
Stock S4 Rear Bar: 20mm Solid
Hotchkis Rear Bar: 24mm Tubular Adjustable
Part Number: 22829-R
This rear bar has been tested, and shows increases in effective rate over the stock bar by 145 and 215 percent.
Price on these bars is going to be $170 + shipping, and is limited to ten orders only. Please call us here at the office, or PM me for shipping quotes or to place your order!

Does it come with everything in the picture?
Sway bar
Brackets
Bushings
Bolts?

Comes with everything you see (and then some)! As far as bolts, the factory sway bar bolts, and bracket bolts are reused. When reinstalling the endlink bolts, I recommend applying loctite to the threads (which IS included in the kit, along with grease for the bushings)

John,
I know of some fast B5 S4's that use only the rear hotchkis bar with a stock front (like Patrick Lindsay's or STaSIS' ETGP cars). Any thoughts on doing this on the B6/7 chassis?

what do you have to do to adjust the bar from normal to stiff setting? does it need to be removed and reinstalled? is there a benefit to tubular construction over solid?

This rear bar has been tested, and shows increases in effective rate over the stock bar by 145 and 215 percent.
Is that "145% and 215%" over stock rear because they are adjustable? Why are there two numbers? Are those relative to the stock S4 bar that you mentioned and not the stock A4 bar? How much stiffer are these than the OEM RS4 bar?

To answer your question, tubes are capable of taking more stress than solid bars for the same amount of material. So while it may take a larger diameter tube bar to withstand the same type of loading than a solid bar, the amount of material needed to withstand that loading is reduced.

Both of those are race cars, not daily driven cars and not necessarily a fair comparison. A rear only application can be beneficial for fine tuning the oversteer handling of the car. For daily driving, and even aggressive spirited driving the front and rear combination is your best option.

You simply need to unbolt the endlinks, and change the mounting hole they are attached to. No need to remove the sway bars. In the rear this take just a few minutes. It takes more time to get the car in the air.
Tubular sway bars are significantly lighter than solid.

The bars are adjustable with 2 positions. The softer setting is the 145% and the stiffer setting is the 215% relative to the stock S4 bar. We don't have the specific numbers currently compared to the RS4 bar, but rest assured they're still considerably stiffer than the RS4 factory bar.
