I have seen a few write ups in the B6/B7/S4/RS4 and B5 sections but not too much here so I thought I would post up my thoughts.

1. JHM Customer Service-Picked this up from JHM. They shipped it extremely fast and had good communication throughout.

2. [U]Install-Took way longer than it should have. I followed the two DIYs referenced in this thread http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=310252&highlight=mount but I just couldn't get the thru-bolt lined up to go through the bushing [headbang]. Also, I did this on ramps and everything was really tight so that didn't help. It is definitely doable as a DIY, you just need to take your time and be patient, but it took me longer than the 30 minutes as I have seen mentioned elsewhere. Also, I think those DIYs might be a little off. For me, the hex bolts are 8mm and the bolt that goes through the bushing is 5/8th.

3. Driving-For reference I have an 08 6MT with Ohlins c/o and my only real performance mod is an APR chip.

Lower RPM-At lower RPM, less aggressive shifts, I didn't notice much of a change at all. I would not recommend this upgrade if you take it easy on your car and drive for fuel efficiency because I don't think you will see much of a change.

Higher RPM-For more aggressive driving, higher rpm shifts, it does feel smoother. No, or very little, "clunk" on harder shifts and coming out of corners. I have heard some say that they noticed the big difference between 1st and 2nd but I think I noticed more between 2nd-3rd-and 4th. I haven't done a hard launch with it so I can't really say if the launch is improved.

4. Overall, IMO, it is tough to say whether it is worth the money. It's an improvement over stock but I think it might of made more of a difference if I had more power/torque with some additional performance mods. Also, it may take some more time to get used to.

I plan to get the apikol snub mount installed soon too so it will be interesting to see what difference that makes. I'd be curious to hear other thoughts, maybe I'm missing something. Thanks.

I have the diff mount and the snub mount and it made a huge difference to the shifting it was way smother. I think most of this is due to the snub mount. Didn't think the diff mount made any difference to the launch, hard or not. Maybe you are right, we need more power.

That's good to know. I'll get the snub mount in and see what happens. Maybe my expectations were too high or maybe this is something that is more geared towards the s4/rs4.

I remembered when they first advertised the diff. mount they showed a video of a S4 spinning all 4 wheels. I was hoping this would help me do this but I guess it takes more than just the diff mount. The advertised car has more power & a heavy duty clutch - I think the clutch makes the most difference esp. if you want to spin the wheels.
