Picked up an S8.....

Just picked up a 2007 S8, phantom black on black with carbon fiber and Bang and Olafsen. This car has completely exceeded my expectations, a truly amazing car.
The Good: Beautiful inside and out. Tremendous handling for such a large car.
The V-10 is incredible, the exhaust note is insane. The B&O might be one of the best sound systems I have ever heard (incl. home theaters) I can't say enough about this system... The Audi MMI is easier to use than my previous BMWs IDrive.

The So-So: Initial throttle tip-in is a little sensitive/jerky......but so far thats it.

I'm really loving this car....sorry for the crappy pics, as you can see I'm no photographer...

I've been eying the D3 S8 as my next vehicle of choice... that and the C6 S6. Glad to hear what I was expecting: an amazing balance of luxury and performance in an executive/large sized sedan.

Are you going to remove the front license plate and just use the filler plate? I know it's a risk in some places to go without front license plate (I've been lucky so far for the past year *knock on wood*) but that front grille needs to be on display... it's absolutely beautiful.

I personally schoosed different color...white - light-blue or grey.
I ride now with 2004 a8 and also it is black. I soon mayby overpaint it to white :P

Are you going to remove the front license plate and just use the filler plate? I know it's a risk in some places to go without front license plate (I've been lucky so far for the past year *knock on wood*) but that front grille needs to be on display... it's absolutely beautiful.

I really don't know too much about modding these cars....yet, I don't have a front plate on my Porsche, and (knock on woood) I haven't gotten nailed yet, this is my DD so I really don't want to attract too much police attention......that being said do you have any pics of the license plate filler???

I've always been of the opinion that the US front license plate prevents the European cars from looking clean in the front due to the dimension differences (versus Euro plates which fit nicely in place of filler plate). I never liked how the top and bottom of US plates go over some of the grille. It seems like someone just slapped it on there with no consideration for aesthetics. I had a front plate on mine for the first few months and it just bothered me enough to want it gone. Love how the car has looked since.

I'll take a look around. If I can find the part number for the filler plate, the place that would surely have it is genuineaudiparts.com . I have a few items that were ordered from them and they are very fast and usually have the lowest price. Only problem is, the search on their site is done via part number so it's a bit tricky if you don't have it. [:/]
