A 1996 A4 2.8 with 121K... !!

So I bought this car off a guy who said the transmission was no good and the engine was probably bad because it smoked and the oil light was on.. First I did some research here on AZ and found out that it was just couple of easy fixes. So now I am working on getting it all up and running but its a cool Daily Driver/Beater car... Other than the Cosmetic things ( bumpers, paint, rips in leather.. ) Everything is cool even the AC works.... This is my 2nd Audi I sold my My B6 A4 1.8TQ (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=303889) about 4 months ago... Then I found this beauty... Any reccomendations... Comments is greatly appreciated !

I knew I couldnt leave AZ for too long !

Holy crap! Great find!

Fix it all and sell it. You'll make some good dough off it.

Good find.

I don't know if I could ever drive a FWD Audi.

Yeah coming from a AWD to a FWD is gonna be different but its a nice car so I will end up keeping it for a while...

Nice man, let us know how your fix-up goes! Looks pretty clean, especially for $800.

Exactly what my suggestion was going to be[:D]

Otherwise, throw in that missing lower bumper grill and headlight washer cap and you're sittin pretty for the money

Is that a match book holding the window up on the passenger side? No matter what, that is an awesome buy!

Wow, 121k! Not bad!

FWD in Florida won't be bad. I wouldn't try and pull that up here in Ohio though, especially this time of year!

Welcome to the 12v family ;)

That's awesome, what were some of the fixes?

01-12-2010, 09:48 AM
Well I have to replace the following so far :

- Valve Cover Gaskets
- Oil Sender Unit
- Transmission Multi-Function Switch ( Wont go into Reverse )
- ABS Unit ( Pm'd Kompress to get it rebuilt )
- Couple Blown Fuses

Couple other little things but overall its a reeally great car... Im planning on doing a comfortable suspension nothing like what I had on my B6 ( Bilstein & H&R)... and some LM Reps on there maybe 19's or 18's....

fk coils on 18's or even 17's.

b5 wasnt ment for the 19 game imo.

Looks to have been resprayed at some point. Unless the pics are just goofy.

Not bad at all for $800 if you can get it road worthy. I would maybe fix a few bits and thats it.

FWD Automatic 2.8L Hahaha.

Yeah they resprayed it but it needs to be wet sanded and buffed...

damn I'd say definitely flip it!
