First of all it's a 2.8 and i'm looking to get it back to nearly stock noise levels

I bought the car with straight 3.0 inch piping all the way to a magnaflow muffler. no cats or res. and it is way to loud for my liking.

all i've bought so far is the 55$ vibrant muffler from ecs.

now i am going to need all new piping anyways cause i have few leaks, so would going to smaller piping , like 2.5 or 2.25, quiet it down more?

also what are some good resonators that will cut the drone down?

and whats the purpose of a flex pipe, and do i need one?

1: why?

2: get cats and mufflers u dont necesarily need to make the pipes smaller IMO.

3:you didnt say what year your car was so try searching for things like this.

I have the stock resonator and a magnaflow with stock piping and it's fairly quiet.

I agree that you don't need all smaller piping.. maybe just throw on a resonator to cut down on the drone. But if you really want it quiet, then just buy someones stock system.

3" is pretty loud. I have a resonator and muffler and it's pretty loud at highway speeds.

I still want the performance of an aftermarket exhaust, but with a stealthy noise

are the lack of cats really making my exhaust that much louder?

i was thinking just throwing on a good resonator would quiet it enough for me
