My ABS and break light will come on with ABS being solid and break light flashing, but when it really cold out, like in the 20s it will go away, and as the weather warm back up, it will comes on again..... so what the issue here? what will i need to replace?

Make sure you check the fuse first. If it's ok, then it's definitely the ABS module.

If the temperature is making a difference I'd almost lean toward a bad abs electrical connection somewhere. The melting of snow/road grime cause funky things to happen. This is sounds like the exact same problem I had on a previous car. It ended up being a abs wheel speed sensor and a bad connection to it. I'd check connections around the hubs before sending in an abs module just because other people are advising it. Abs modules do go out commonly on these cars, but look around first.

Also if you have access to VAG-COM, if you are unable to communicate with the ABS module or it says connection is intermittent you will know for sure.

intermittent failure and more prone to working when temperatures are cooler (cold) are all common signs of a failed module.

the original module in my 2000 car would "work" when it was cold or when i drove down this one particular extra bumpy road. :p

I had ABS for a day and a half this week because it was cold enough and I didn't hit any big bumps. It was soooo nice! lol

deff scan with vag-com.
As i'm sure you already know, you can pick one up on ebay for like $12, with free software.

It should give you a place to start

bootcamp is a feature within the utilities folder that allows you to partition the internal hard drive and install windows XP so you can natively boot the computer into windows just like a PC would by holding down the option key right after you turn on the machine
