FML! What to do?

Ok after going to the gym early today, i go back to my car and reach for my trunk so i could throw my stuff in it. But when i put my hand where the handle is a scrape my hand, and im like WTF.

I check for what could have cause my to get scratched and someone stole my License plate LED lights.

They stripped both screws, and the broke the plastic covers since they could get the screws off.

This is not the picture as its broken but a reference. Boxes are what they broke, and circles are the screws that are stripped.

Does anyone no what i have to replace to get this all fixed. [headbang]

wow sorry to hear this happened [:(]. I guess people have moved on from jacking emblems to lights. You can probably use a screw extractor to get them out.

i suppose if you have a small dremel or something similar you can cut a new groove in the end of the screw and pull them out with a flatblade

i went to home depot to get screw extractors but they said the screw it to small. It needed to be bigger the a certain size ( cant remember ) but way bigger then the screw OEM uses.

Ye like WTF, why steal $20 lights and Cost me $30 in damage! lol

You need to slide a really small flat screwdriver between the plastic lense and the trunk. While you gently pry on it, remove the screws

i know this sounds dumb, but your dealership should be able to get it out or tell you "how" to get it out.

And guys im going to try getting the screws off tomorrow, right now its snowing and its like 20 deg outs.

If anyone with EKTA, can get me the part number on the screws and plastic covers it would be awesome.

Everything is sold as an assembly: Screws, lense, bulb, etc.

Get this from any autoparts for $8. They are in stainless. Install the 4 of them, you just have to cut them to lengh. Not saying that they won't do it again but I list you need a special tool to remove

Honestly, i went around my car looking to see if they messed anything else up. And so far i see nothing. Hope the salt isn't covering up and scratches!

This. Sorry for the bad quality pic but you see the specs. It is not exact but very close. I stripped one out when putting Hoen x-match's in and picked up this little baggy at Lowe's.
