negative reputation abuse question for admin

I have search the feedback forum and some what understand how the reputation system works. But how do you ensure some one is not abusing the negative reputation marking just because my comments did not sit well with him? I noticed some one put a negative comment and taken out -6 points for expressing my opinion on a particular exhaust sound.

If people are not ready to hear others honest opinion then they should not post on the public forum. This is just silly.

well the rep is the same way, its someone honest opinion on how they feel about you or your comment.. I for one got them taken away by the mods because I valued my opinion to much LOL.. Get used to it.

lol ... I think the rep system needs to be revisited... points should only be added.. and it should go with content of your post. If your post/answer gets point your rep should go up. So the system should only allow positive or neg points on the post not on the person. Your rep should be an indication of your post worth.

As for honest or rational opinion.. guys under 23 really don't have one since their brain is not fully developed :)
