Who are you calling slow???? Don't make me download the app and test it on my car, I say at least 350hp and thats only with APR flash!! Its not my fault that you have only 303hp, I bet I can do 0-60 in 4.2 sec also!! [;)]

Have you fully calibrated the program recently? In my experience, if you calibrate it and make sure the phone doesn't move at all during the pull, it can be decently accurate.

i actually calibrated it right before i did the run, AND made sure that my arm didn't rock back on the launch, i had it bolted to the steering wheel. which is why this is so funny

you buggered it up then, it compensates for the natural damping effect of yourr arm

anyway, mine gets to 60 in 4.6 in reverse! so there! ner ner!

no, it says you have to leave it somewhere secured and upright, which is what I did.

to the OP- how does dynolicious compare to rev? worth getting or just novelty?

dynolicious is actually very accurate if you calibrate properly

Which app did you use for the G1? I checked a while ago but the apps available didn't seem very matured yet.

hmm, can anybody recommend an accurate iphone app that does this? I got g-tac but I haven't tried it out yet.

It is called DinoDyno. It's free, has good feedback, and worked well when I tried it.

same app the OP posted.. its accurate to within 10-20hp if calibrated correctly.

it measures g-forces using the accelerometer inside the phone, the accelerometer itself is pretty accurate at measuring the forces.

I wonder what happens if I strap this to my ass and sprint 100 yards. what my G force would be and what my Human horsepower would be? anyone with an Iphone care to try. Us dull BB users dont have such fancy toys[>_<]

You will probably have to sprint for a 1/4 mile to get accurate enough readings.

Nice. I remember a few months ago there were threads on XDA about a dyno app for Android but it hadn't really gotten very far at that point. Will definitely check it out on my Droid.

mine was pretty accurate. 275HP/330FT/lbs is why the app said I had, few weeks later when I actually got the car dyno'd it came up with 278.3HP and 334FT/lb's. 0-60 was fairly spot on with a +/- of .2seconds

most of the time when it moves when its inaccurate, make sure it doesnt move and do 5 or 6 runs and find the average HP/0-60 time in all of them and dynolicious and pocketdyno can be pretty accurate
