Was a pain doing all the fab on the grille and laying vinyl over all that chrome but I'm damn pleased with the end results, and yeah the car is a dirty girl right now...

Nice! I say you should black out the outer chrome of the grill too! Keep up the good work! [up]

I like it chrome, a fully blacked grille looks nasty on a Quartz Audi imo, also I would have kept the rings chrome if I decided to black out the surrounding trim. I have extra rings so if my taste changes I can go either way later too.

I would keep the Audi rings chrome either way you go, but prefer the black outer trim of the grill. Just my $.02. Good luck with the car!

At first I used shadowline but I wouldn't recommend it, poor quality limited room for application... stickercity is the way to go. Their vinyl has this sort of inlay design that prevents air pockets and allows for clean removal for up to 4 years. If you have a small air bubble it will remove itself over time, I didn't have one during the whole process unlike when I used shadowline.
It comes in sheets too so you don't have to worry about getting the vinyl over curves or having seams, the one seam I have on each side is because I used shadow line initially and finished then curved rear quarter trim with the stickercity stuff.
Got from:

TMI, I know.
