ok so heres the deal, ive been reading in the a6 forum about what exactly are the different stages. so am i right by saying that if i run a hfc with the stock exhaust and then i get chipped i'll be stage 2 right? because one is saying that stage 2 is with an exhaust system and the other is saying that even if i only have an hfc that i'll be stage 2, because the purpose is to delete the CEL. which leads to my second question, does revo offer that software? where it detects and deletes the CEL. because i've read that only apr offers that at stage 2, but on revo's site it says that they do as well. so then i wouldnt need an o2 spacer.

yes revo offers it and it's fairly cheap (or maybe even free depending on your tuner)
and stg II = either a TP or a HFC.
Although I think both APR and REVO recommend a full turbo-back exhaust to maximize the gains.

yes i'm getting revo for sure. ok so by having the hfc with the stock exhaust i'll be stage 2 correct? i wanted to get a stasis exhaust system but since my dad bought the car for me he said i cant do that, until i have a steady job... im gonna apply tomorrow for a job. but when i do add on the full exhaust system to the hfc and chip, i won't need a reflash will i?

No u won't need a reflash. You'll just be finally taking full advantage of stg 2

in short
stage 1 - regular - nothing needed
stage 2 - hfc or TP (will remove the engine light) + exhaust for optimal results.
stage 2+ - all of the above + high pressure fuel pump.
i like my tune, havent had any problems with it yet :D

Correct, you will be able to run the stage 2 program with just a HFC, or TP. As far as I know, with REVO, stage 2 is not just a CEL delete as with other companies. You will get an extra 10ish HP out of it. I would recommend getting a job so you can go with a full exhaust. Once you do get a full exhaust, you can go back to the shop and have them retune your software for the best performance. At my shop this is free, at some they may charge like a half hour.

Oh, and by the way, REVO is the record holder of quarter mile time for a stock turbo on the B7. krist0kes will not reveal his secret, but he's only stage 2, tunes his software himself, and ran a 13.7 I believe. He also pushes about 260hp to the wheels. REVO ftw!

I made 268/341 on REVO as well. Not boasting but i do agree that REVO is a better software for the fsi platform.

I assume that these numbers come from unsafe daily driving tunes?

have no idea? whats stage 1+? oh ya when i look in the classifieds and see the rs4 fuel injectors or whatever what do those do? like inject fuel to the engine or what? thought that was the fuel pump. do they add performance? i know its not what the thread is about but ya, and i can search for the answer, but if anyone has a quick answer that works better :D

not sure, doubt they would though, guess that would fall under stage 2+??
i would suspect, companies would be under the impression you are doing supporting mods before you do injectors..

Right, you don't need to upgrade injectors until stage 3, so there would be no need for it without a larger turbo etc...
