have yet to find a video comparing the two on the same car with the same set up. has anybody else? preferably a 2.0... only thing holding me back is the sound difference between the two, just wanted a comparison video.

an HFC sounds very close to stock, just a tad louder.

a test pipe on the other hand back fires [:D][:D][:D]

which sounds amazing.

ya ive watched that a few times haha i like the sound of the test pipe, i just hate it how at the end of a rev it sounds really choppy :/ if you know what i mean. i want it to sound smooth not choppy like that. have you experienced that with your TP?

yeah man i love the back fire... i guess its a matter of opinion... And yes my test pipe does it, all test pipes do it.

The "choppy" sound is a backfire, its a love or hate thing, and i personally think it sounds amazing.. so does the guy who posted b4 me.

Just installed 034 HFC and it's MAYBE 5% deeper/louder than stock. Very subtle.

can you feel the gains? i know there is only a difference of a few hp and torque between the hfc and tp (according to the dyno the 034 motorsport did). but was there still a noticable gain from the hfc?

there are gains. rpm goes up faster, smoothly, more torque/power

I wish I could pass emissions with a TP...

The emission testing in WA is done with only the OBDII sensor

im headin over to my local audi specialist to see if they know the smog person so i can get passed with a tp if i choose to get one. the hfcs are so pricey!

Yes, there is a noticeable difference. Not like getting chipped again, but I'd believe 10-20hp.

Biggest difference is that the engine doesn't fall on its face after 4,500 rpm.
