Changed Car Battery - Key Fob Not Working

Hey Guys,

I just changed the battery in my 2007 A4. Now, my keyfob does not seem to be locking the car.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

IIRC you need to start the car first. After that it should work.

put the fob in the ignition for a few seconds and you should be good [up]

Starting the car may work. If it doesnt, you need to reprogram it which is very simple. I forgot the steps but I know they are in one of the threads on AZ. Reprogramming literally takes about 2 minutes.

Try putting the key in ignition to on position and hit the unlock button or hold it and let go and see if that works. If not then if you have another key turn the key to on position and the one that doesn't work lock the doors and while the key is in the lock hit the unlock button and see if that works.

Don't forget to stand on one leg and touch your nose whilst you do it.
