View Full Version : Oil Restrictors & Actuators

After reading alot of posts saying the T series doesn't like more then 40 psi of oil pressure and our engines running over 100 psi at Wot. Its highly recommended to run and oil restrictor. But which one? 034, Int Eng, Ebay, Atp? .60 .63 .65 ??
Also going to need a T3/t4 wastegate actuator and bracket. Does it matter what Psi WG Act I get? would a 10psi one still stay closed more then 10psi?

Pretty sure im running this one http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=tp&Product_Code=ATP-OIL-022&Category_Code=ATP-OIL1 on my 50 trim.
As for WG actuator and bracket, i think you need to run external unless your exhaust housing has a port for the internal wastegate. Kind of like this but another a/r if you want http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TP&Product_Code=GRT-WGT-010&Category_Code=
I run 4 bolt .63 exhaust housing with external wastegate. If you are running ATP mani you will need a wastegate extension adapter. Here is what it basically looks like. http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g32/jaypapez/DSC02039.jpg

you will need a dump tube too unless you plan to route it back into the DP

oh and if you run external wastegate and you get a 10psi spring. the spring will open the wastegate at 10psi so you cant run more than 10psi if your only using the wastegate to control boost. If you want more you will need mbc or ebc. Or you can even run the n75 alone.

Okay so ordered the .65 oil restrictor.
Im going to run an internal waste gate cause Im already setup for it. Now is it better to get a duel port actuator http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TNT-30326?part=TNT-30326&view=16383&N=700+400287 or just a single and add boost from there? http://www.034motorsport.com/product_info.php?products_id=741
Anyone have one?
last option which Im holding off of is the 38mm waste gate and brackets because it is twice as expensive
