I met this girl out this past weekend and we watched a movie and chilled at her place last night and we are going out to dinner this week. It is going to be her last meal before she goes and gets her wisdom teeth out sooo let's make it a good dinner.
She likes sushi or Italian so let's hear those suggestions. I was thinking Blowfish in Santana Row. I've eaten there a few times and have liked it. There is also Cherry Sushi on El Camino Real, but I think the atmosphere in Blowfish is better.

I like going to sushi factory branham and meridian because ive gone there for a while and they love me there.
For Italian, check out gorgios on foxworthy/cherry

No joke man... gotta get something before she's out of commission for a few days... haha just kidding...kinda... but yea although the sushi/food at Blowfish isn't that great, the atmosphere is a lot better than anywhere else where we can have drinks and dinner.

Ewww....Blowfish sucks for sushi... Go to Tomi Sushi off Saratoga and Moorpark. Way good and very authentic.

Sawa sushi is GREAT. Santana Row is OK for atmosphere, but ALLOT better food out there.
Sawa is supposed to have the best sashimi in the bay.

i went to blow fish once and i paid too much. If you really want to impress then go to olive garden and she will love you forever.

I don't like Blowfish much, but its a good place to impress a date; young hip atmosphere. However... any place that discourages loud sake bombs, is not my cup of tea. Sushi Totoro for the win!

I love Yuki Sushi (http://www.yelp.com/biz/yuki-sushi-santa-clara) Good eats at a decent price. Just down the street from Santana Row if you still want to go there after. Crunch Roll FTW!

if you've never tried it, TRY it. I recommend it. The one in MV is very "homely". Not an Olive Garden type of an environment [:D]. Anyways, for an awesome night, take her to Crustaceans in the city - it aint sushi, but will darn impress her.

- Fuki Sushi in PA is great
- Carpaccio in Menlo Park, great food, low key but classy atmosphere
- Frankie's in MV is also good, easier on the wallet than these other 2
- Maggiano's is owned by Chili's, make your own judgment about that
- Billy Berk's in downtown SJ

Thanks guys, we are going to Blowfish but I'm going to have to check those other restaurants sooner or later. Yuki Sushi is bomb, I've eaten there multiple times. Portions are big too!
I know at Blowfish you're paying for the experience more than the food but it's a fun place. I'm expecting to drop $100...let's hope this girl is worth it.

I took my ex to Kamakura. It's like a quarter of the price of Blowfish, because like you said, you pay for the atmosphere. I would prefer going to Blowfish but I'm glad we didn't cause she wasn't worth it. [>_<]
and she broke up with you because you were cheap ^^

..and that is why on the first date usually you take her to McD's..the key to worth/not, the classics![:D][:D]..if worth->next level !))
