the car has 141,xxx on it, long story short i paid a grand for a civic that needed some work then i traded it straight across for the a4, the car came with all the service records from when the car was origonally purchased everything works and it drives like a dream! im very happy with it so far

Lazer red [up]
You essentially paid $1k for it then? Damn good deal.
I should have bought a 96' for a free euro trunk, I was only one year off! [:p]

What color is that coolant. Looks a little green to me. Maybe check that out.

Congrats! Good choice with the VB3's, they are sexy [up]

I'd invest in some facelift headlights/taillights too, decently cheap mods that will really update the look of the car. Not to mention light output from the facelift headlights will be far superior to the pre-facelift ones.

should i run 19's or 18's and what are your guys preference for lowering spring/shock combo? i dont need a stiff ride just low and smooth with minimal fender gaps?

You probably don't see any snow, so Bilstein shocks and H&R race springs should do the job rather well.

Oh. I am at sea level and it is currently 23*F outside. I need it to warm up a little and do my oil change asap.

But the Bilstein shocks are the most affordable popular ones with quality in the Audi community. Konis are better, but come with a more hefty price tag. I don't have cheap coilovers, but Koni shocks cost more than my coilovers did (bought them at an introductory price). Spring choice wil be up to you, but H&R seems to be favored on here (Race will give you maybe a 1 finger gap and sport springs should grant you a 2-2 1/2 finger gap). When it comes to suspension, it would be best to research and choose which setup will suit you best. Coilovers are the better route, but even that takes some research to find which ones will suit you well.

Good eyes on the coolant! Flush that asap. Looks very nice! I would first buy the headlight washer cap, debadge, Bilstein's and H&R (sport) with 18" wheels. You would be very pleased. Also, you can make those current wheels your fall & winter setup. With that said, take the center caps off and paint them red to match the body. Would look sweet, in my opinion.
