But I decided to sell my motor. As much as I love the setup, there are still a number of things to hate about it. I work on 2.7t's all day long, test drive them from time to time and the one thing that always stands out to me is the torque. Yes my HTA setup is relatively torquey, but getting into a stage 3 S4 with instant on power and shit ton of torque makes you crave it. So I'm starting to put together a 2.7t from scratch with some rods and few other goodies.

I want to sell my motor as a whole. (Meaning head and block together) Rest of the setup I will be parting out. (Tune, turbo etc..)

The entire setup has approx 15k miles on it.

The block is an 06A block and the head is AEB paired to a AEB intake manifold.

The block has Brute Rods paired to AEB pistons with 20mm wrist pins. Stock displacement, all seals and bearings inside have been replaced with new units.

AEB head has non oversize supertech exhaust valves, stock retainers, high valve springs, and new valve guides. Head also has new cam chain tensioner. Stock AEB cams.

All the work has been done personally by Jake at DW Garage. Motor has perfect 185 compression all across the board, essentially a brand new motor. I'll be posting a part out thread with prices in the classified section sometime later tonight. Feel free to PM for any info.

Yeeah, I can't afford to do a Vr6t, it would be convenient, but between standalone tuning and fitting the engine to that chassis, its far more expensive, a 2.7t is a direct swap for me.

sounds like he has parts laying around for the 2.7 and lots of experience with the engine. I can't blame you for making the swap, the two engines are completely different animals and it's totally preference as to which is better. Make sure you make a progress thread!

What are you looking to get for that HTA? Very intersted. Also might be interested in your head if you are willing to part it. PM me!

Can't blame you. The 2.7tt is a pretty bad ass engine. Planning on making a build thread?

Good luck w/ the sale. I had no luck trying to sell mine, even for half of what I put into it :(

[:D] Bingo.

I need a influx of cash from parts off this motor to get some stuff though.

Everyone please check back to this thread for a link to the classifieds shortly, ill have a price list for everything soon.

Not really..The basic VR6 swap wont break your wallet, Much, however if you want to "properly" turbo it, yes, its pricey..

You could always do a NA VR6 swap and peice together the components you need to go Boost later on. [:)]

Key difference is I have a buddy who will tune my car on me7, while I don't have a buddy who'll tune my car on standalone. Standalone is a pretty hefty investment + the tuning for it. Also my accessibility to 2.7t parts makes this a no brainier.

Believe me I'd love to do a Vr6, just not feasible.

Ive taken it to a dyno, but unfortunately I had a boost leak, put down 340whp @ 23psi with meth OFF. =/. Im sure it makes over 400whp with meth and at 28psi, Ive raced a number of stage 3 cars that have run 11 second Et's and the result was neck and neck past 130.. [:D]
