after i took my intake manifold off tonight coolant started spilling out from the back of the valve cover area. i cant really see back there to see what going on, but if i squeeze on the any of the coolant lines i can see it bubbling from the area its coming from.
cant really see where the leak is in the pic, but it coming from the circled area

coolant temp senor maybe?

There is a plastic coolant flange back there that the Coolant temp sensor lives in. It also has fittings for a few hoses, including a hose to the heater core, I believe. It could be any of those hoses, the sensor (o-ring), or the flange itself (it can sometimes crack or not seal correctly).

You can probably get a better look at things from the passenger side. Moving the combi valve (SAI) if so equipped, can help with access to the coolant flange and hoses.

probably the flange or the o ring for the sensor

Just did mine. two 10mm bolt on the back of the block and 2 10mm bolts connecting to another just under and to the left of the brake booster line. You're hands will get mangled!

yeah i got back there and checked it out, looks like the flange itself is cracked. how long does that take to replace?

Yea, thats prolly your coolant flange - apparently a common problem, and a bitch to fix. At least its (relatively) cheap! heres the DIY link:

they are easy. just remove the combi valve (dont lose the gasket) and its all right there, part cost like 10 bux
