Hey guys! My car is 2001 A4 1.8T. And i have been having some problems with it here and there. The thing is that my fuel consumption became very high all of the sudden and i decided to clean my MAF sensor. I did it along with my friend who has A8. When i pulled out to clean in i noticed that my sensor is different from my friend's because mine didn't have diode on the side of it. Cleaning didn't realy help me but it made difference on my friend's A8. Recently i found out that those diodes brake away from the sensor, is that true? Do we even have it on our car? Please help?! Any feedback would be appreciated, Thanks!!!

that diode is an intake air temp sensor and not used on 1.8t cars. your awm has an iat right behind the throttle body.
