Visiting from Socal

Hey norcal guys, im coming up from socal to norcal for a 2 day vacation. I was wondering if you could give me some tips of where to visit where to stay away from. i have a pretty good idea of my plan but i would like a second opinion

Day 1: Pier 39, Fisherman's Whaft, and ghirardelli square, then at night im going to union square

Day 2: Japantown then head over to the japanese tea garden

is there anything i should add or know of to make my trip even better

the grado! bomb ass sea food! its toward the end of the pier, right across the street form the...damn i cant remember the name of that big sour dough place with the good clam chowder!

also castro street is good to go to in sf.

oakland and richmond are also good spots to visit

Just keep in mind one thing, there are some road construction going on in the city. Streets are bad enough, so its worst on some streets w/ the construction.

Hopefully you are renting a car locally ;-p, if not when you go to SF, just take a cab.
