Go with advanced auto part ones. Brand new, with lifetime warranty if i remember correctly.

There are various people on here whom stand by the Autozone axles for like $60. Me personally, would go with the JHM unit (http://www.jhmotorsports.com/shop/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_62_63_125_213&products_id=120&osCsid=f771fbae716a0c5b99e05dcd21d29101). But compare prices, while both have been proven effective.

If you want to go the non OEM route advance auto sells NEW ones not remans. I have never had a problem with them

Agreed i did the advance auto axles too. they looked identical to the ones that mjm and jhm sell. But depending on what year your a4 is finding the right ones can be tricky.

Did you grease the ones before you installed them??? They may not of been fully or properly greased.

Other then that though I got my brand new axle for less then the remans price.

Order the autozone axles online. Should get there pretty quick, Mine came in 2 days, I ordered it with a shammy towel and basically got the towel free and 2 bucks off the entire order (due to free shipping) than if I didnt order the towel...

GL

My axle was really stiff, but I tested it pretty good and its just fine. Did full lock both ways in a court with various throttle for about 3 minutes and didnt have any issues.

GO with RAXLES, www.raxles.com

They are rebuilt but excellent rebuild quality. Search on them, they come highly recommended. I've replaced 4 A4 axles with their axles and don't have anything but good comments. They'll even loan you the tools for free.

I seriously doubt any Autozone or the like will carry new oem, probably just Chinese crap or rebuilt.
